Good start, but then it gets ruined
Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.
While it is a pity that the story wasn't told with more visual finesse, this is trivial compared to our real-world problems. It takes a good movie to put that into perspective.
Blistering performances.
Like Roadtrip Eurotrip is all about the journey than the actual meeting only here it is cross country. Boy gets dumped by girl, boy has a penpal from Germany- a hot girl who he decides to pursue along with a bunch of friends. His adventures include hanging out with a bunch of Manchester United hooligans, going to a nude beach and a conclusion at the Vatican with the whole world watching. Eurotrip is a good teenage sex comedy though there isn't much in the way of sex. This is a fun movie to see with friends.
In the scene at the nude beach Jenny in a blue bikini and the scene where Jenny lifts her top to flash her breasts to incoming drivers (with her back to the camera) the actress, Michelle Trachtenberg was 17 years old at the time. Also, the club scene where Jenny and Jamie was kissing, the actor playing Jamie, Travis Wesler was 25 and the actress playing Jenny, Michelle Trachtenberg was 17.
don't waste your time watching this. not funny at all. don't watch. 0/0. horrible. old camera quality. poor visuals. lame jokes. too much nudity. sad. i am scarred for life and never want to watch such movies again. I can never get my time back. I am disappointed that such a film exists. Disgusting. I never want to watch this again. People really shouldn't make films like this if they are not great at story writing.
I'm not really sure what I was expecting, but I can rely the impression that had formed while watching. Firstly, it is amazingly predictable. It doesn't take a genius to see what's behind the next corner on the trip around this ridiculous place Europe is being portrayed as. Yes, I am aware the intention was a satirical depiction of Europeans. Nothing we haven't seen before more adequately done, to be honest. The dialogue and the characters are just as predictable and superficial, committing little, if anything, to memory. Secondly, the sexism is prominent through out the movie, as naked women willingly take their tops off, and are generally portrayed as dumb and promiscuous. Two scenes stand out: First one where the 'clever college boy' tricks the 'dumb blonde' into taking her bikini top off and rubbing her breasts to his obvious pleasure. The second scene, where a dutch girl working in a photo store is so impressed by the geeky college kid's camera, that she takes him to the back of the store, and gives him a (well deserved?) blow-job. Scenes where women's breasts are revealed are bountiful, and are a testimony to whom this movie is targeting; adolescent boys with affinity for infantile humor and simple joys of bared bosoms. How on earth they got Matt Damon and Rade Serbedzija to appear in this film is beyond me.
