What a beautiful movie!
The Worst Film Ever
Such a frustrating disappointment
This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
'Pay it Forward' is a solid, well-made drama with some impressive acting performances. It will satisfy a lot of people but I was a little disappointed with the direction the film took. The first half of the film sets up an interesting plot, then the second half focuses almost entirely on the developing romance between Trevor's mother and teacher and the actual story behind the film - a young boy attempting to make the world a better place - almost becomes a sub-plot.The ending also felt like an easy way out for the filmmakers and a cheap attempt at manipulating the audience's emotions. It was a totally unnecessary ending to a film that started with a lot of promise but went downhill fast towards the end. There are certainly worse films out there than 'Pay it Forward', but I was disappointed with the direction this film took. It could have, and should have been a lot better.
Someone does you a good favor. You pass it on to three other people. They pass it on. And what a wonderful world this will be like the commercial we see on TV these days. That's the theory behind "Pay It Forward,". I would like to say this is a great movie for kids, and parents but parents should be cautious while watching with their kids under 14 years old. This movie has frequent profanity, including one use of the "N" word, as well as a tween boy who calls one of his bullies "a fag." Many of the characters abuse alcohol and drugs, including heroin and marijuana. There are references to severe domestic abuse. There are some fights, one resulting in mortal injury. A character attempts suicide. Another shoots his gun, though no one is injured. A character dies tragically. I personally think this movie deserves more than 7.2 rating. This is a must seen movie for all kids, and parents to raise a better generation.
The term pay it forward means when someone helps you out in a situation be thankful for it and you should help out another person. Like passing on the act of kindness. In the this heartfelt movie I learned how life can be taken away from anyone at any minute. Trevor who is the little boy in the movie is assigned a project by his teacher which is to change the world. He decided to help a homeless man and his mother didn't approve because the man was a stranger. Later in the movie Trevor pays it forward by helps a boy at school that is being bullied by a group of kids his age. The group of boys kick and punch the boy on the ground. Trevor helps the boy by running into the group of boys with his bike. A fight starts between him and one of the boys then one of them pulls out a knife and stabs him. Trevor dies after being stabbed. Before Trevor died he helped many people in need. As a young actor his role in this movie was very inspiring and changed the way I look at life. This is definitely a movie that will make any person with a good heart cry.
Now I know... I could perceived things, things happened to me long time ago, happens now and maybe will happen tomorrow. The reason... We all are here, living for not to pay back what we are given, but to pay forward How beautiful phrase it is, TO PAY FORWARD Special thanks for Catherine Ryan Hyde, A writer of the book/movie "Pay It Forward" We all think about to pay back. If our parents bring us up, we care them because they had done for us before. It is wrong. They do for use, but we don't pay back, we pay forward to our kids. Also we care our parents not because to pay back something, because we love them. Only reason. This film taught me a lot of things which were unclear, but actually they were clear, but I was blind. That's what I learned.
