Very well executed

At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.

Easily the biggest piece of Right wing non sense propaganda I ever saw.

The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.

Tarzan 2 is the story that goes on during the actual story or the original, kind of like Lion King 1/2 it is one of those stories that explains a lot and answers a lot of questions. This story is about Tarzan's childhood and the adventures he goes on, it is mostly about him finding out who he really is and excepting that he is unique and has his own special skills.Along the way he makes new friends who teach him about things, and in turn he teaches them about new things. I also liked the fact that it just focuses on Tarzan and not Jane, don't get me wrong I love Jane she is great and I love the romance of Tarzan and Jane, this story is great because we get to see more of Tarzan's childhood that was sort of a mystery in the original. And we get to see him acquire some of his amazing skills like tree surfing and his first Tarzan yell. Tarzan 2 is a fun film with new characters and a new story. And it does answer questions viewers might have about his childhood. Reason I give it a 9 is I feel it could have explained a lot more then it did, and a good amount was explained, it's just I wish they would have explained more. 9/10 for Tarzan 2

Disney's "Tarzan II" is a fun family film to watch, and I must say that it is much, much better than "Tarzan and Jane." This sequel centers around Tarzan's childhood, and what he had to go through while seeking his real identity. All the lovely characters are back of course, with other new fun characters. The animation of this film was quite satisfying and the songs by Phil Collins were also lovely. I have to say, however, that this film is mostly for kids but it has some good laughs for adults though . Also, do not expect this sequel to be better than the original "Tarzan" but still, it is a good one compared to other sequels, and is worth watching.

I liked this movie, it's cute and shows Tarzan's problems as a child. You can see many of the characters of the first movie again, And see a little bit of Tarzan's childhood. But I preferred the first movie, since there is more action and comedy, and, we cannot forget, romance. When I heard that Disney's studios were going to do a second movie of Tarzan, I was thinking that they were going to show Tarzan's and Jane's life in the jungle. So, for me, I stayed a bit disappointed when I saw that it was about Tarzan's childhood. But okay. It's Disney, so, it's cute.

This straight-to-video Disney sequel, taking place when Tarzan is still a boy, is so perfectly executed, it feels as though it could've been additional material cut from the first movie. Tarzan, finding that he can't keep up with the other gorilla youngsters, begins to question who and what he is, and the film is more or less about his self-discovery and how he begins the transformation from just being a human boy to becoming the 'Tarzan' we all know and love. All of your favorite characters are back (except Jane and the professor of course), as well as the voice talents of Glenn Close as Kala and Lance Henrikson as Kerchak. The casting director did a wonderful job in finding a young voice talent to perfectly match the young Tarzan from the original. Furthermore, it appears that most of the original animators are back as well, for the animation is something to behold, and a few new songs as well as a reprise from the first film by Phil Collins make it that much more convincing. This film has the passion and heart that is usually lacking in the great majority of Disney sequels—you can really feel the care and respect for the material by all involved in the production. It's both touching and humorous, and not just for children—adults will find this amusing as well. Now if Disney will just follow suit and continue to make sequels such as this one, maybe they can actually put more than one every ten years in the theater.VERDICT: Disney succeeds in finally making a worthwhile sequel, much of the caliber of the original. Recommended to all—if you liked the original Tarzan, you'll like this one. And to all you collectors out there, this one is definitely worth the $20—I know I'll be adding it to *my* collection sometime in the near future.7.5 out of 10.0~AleXa~
