Very very predictable, including the post credit scene !!!
Please don't spend money on this.
When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.
I didn’t really have many expectations going into the movie (good or bad), but I actually really enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and the banter between them.
This film really sucks, many people who enjoy metal music feel really anxious to see this film, but it was awful, it just has 5 or 6 funny scenes, the humor is silly, nothing interesting, just a waste of time, most of the people who defends this film it's cuz they are"Metalheads" , me too, but that doesn't mean that because i love metal music, it's a good film, the worst of 2015, overrated
Funny, Metal relative line and hidden jokes here and there which grabs the genre specifications eyes. I loved it, you can see the little differences of the special effects but that didn't bother me, if it doesn't bother you to much too, then you'll love this title as a metalhead. This would be my go to, movie as a "classic" to watch again and again over time just to enjoy its great story and relative target audience and nostalgia. This would also be the first movie that has casts from New Zealand as well and metal, so props to them for making both comedy/gore and metal movie all in one, and not a documentary.i doubt there would be a follow up on this, but interesting if they do.
Four teenage boys unwittingly summon an ancient evil entity known as The Blind One by delving into black magic while trying to escape their mundane lives. One part "Dead Alive", one part "Evil Dead 2", and a heaping scoop of "Todd and the Book of Pure Evil"... you have "Deathgasm", a movie that is both dark and hilarious, with over-the-top gore and some questionable sexual references (but never offensive, just uproarious).New Zealand has really taken off as far as their film industry goes. I don't know if Peter Jackson injected them somehow or just got more people to notice the great things happening there... but whichever, there are some films from the last few years that are among the best in the horror genre.
Whether you're going to love this film to bits or despise its very existence should be pretty easy to figure out. It's called Deathgasm. Its a black-comedy horror centered around metalheads. Its laughing at itself as much as you are.Despite its perhaps limited appeal, Deathgasm does have a lot of qualities to boast of. It was clearly made on a low budget, but the acting, cinematography and effects are all handled with more than an amateur proficiency. However, this is far more a comedy than a horror film. If the references to nerd culture and metal/rock music aren't your thing, its probably not going to appeal to you much. If you're in the know however, there's a lot of fun to be had here.I'm not going to describe the story because its by far the weakest part of the film. Things start off normal and the sinister events build to a climax: that's the basic structure. Possibly the most disappointing part of the story is the lack of a truly solid villain character. The writing, on the other hand, is pretty great. Some jokes land better than others but for the most part this is perfect film to watch with drunk friends (think Sharknado, or the Crank films). If you're a metal fan, as I am, I'm sure you'll also appreciate that the references are not overly ham-fisted. The gore-horror sequences are also entertaining. This is where the budget is most visible, but the director clearly has an appreciation for his craft with authentic Shaun of the Dead and Evil Dead vibes throughout. And the practical gore effects are oh so satisfying. If you're in this film's target demographic as I am, I'm sure you'll at very least get a few laughs. If not, just keep drinking and you'll get there.
