That was an excellent one.
Good story, Not enough for a whole film
A lot of perfectly good film show their cards early, establish a unique premise and let the audience explore a topic at a leisurely pace, without much in terms of surprise. this film is not one of those films.
Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.
An FBI agent reprises his disguise as a corpulent old lady and takes a job as a nanny in a crime suspect's house. Big Momma's House 2 has the same fire and spirit like the Original film and it's just as good in my opinion plus i had totally forgotten that Chloë Grace Moretz, Kat Dennigs and Zachary Levi were in it. The most well known and remembered scene from the film was probably Big Momma wearing her swim suit and running in the beach i mean that was both weird and disturbing but also pretty damn funny too. Definitely for fans of Lawrence only.
There's no need for the criticism that Big Mommas House 2 has got and is still getting, i've never seen the original Big Mommas House and i hear that it's good, but i still enjoyed this film, it never deserved to be in the IMDb bottom 100 but on the other hand doesn't deserve to be in the IMDb top 250, it's a middling film, has it's strong and it's weak points.I forget most of the plot, all i know is that it's about an FBI agent who goes undercover by dressing up as a fat woman, and looks after a family of kids, and some cheer leading for good measure! (Imagine Big Momma as a cheer leader *shivers*)So overall, i good but not great film, there's some funny bits and it's watchable.6/10
I'm sorry to say that this installment of the Big Momma franchise was even worse than the initiator, and as such, I fervently hope this doesn't turn into a "run." I didn't think Big Momma's House could be bested for worse Martin Lawrence movie, until I was dragged out to see this. Oy Vey, what a mess! Uneven comedy, suspect performances, lazy direction, and incoherent storyline mark this ... mark it my foot! It's branded...AS TRASH! Seriously folks, you could do something better with your afternoon/evening. Anything, in fact, would be better. It rates a 2.8/10 from...the Fiend :.
The person who does the make-up for Martin Lawrence deserves the Oscar-hands down.In this sequel, Big Momma again goes undercover, this time as a maid to a family that has little time for its 3 children. Seems that daddy, the typical nice guy, has gotten mixed up with enemy agents. The latter want to steal a disk that shows all secret government items. The laughs are there but the jokes are so old and you can easily predict what is going to happen. Lawrence makes all the right moves and the audience shall certainly laugh with his body-motions. The enemy is so predictable; the kids are cute but their actions are known to the viewer before the next scene arises. Lawrence pulls out a couple of good laughs. Threatening to call the Rev. Al Sharpton, if he doesn't get the job and parking by a synagogue while claiming that Momma is half-Jewish. The reply of the FBI agent is "Shabbat Shalom." As was in the original, when the bad guys are caught Lawrence can return again as Big Momma to pull the family situations together. While he does a credible job, the viewer should not be prepared for part 3.
