Simply A Masterpiece
When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.
I am only giving this movie a 1 for the great cast, though I can't imagine what any of them were thinking. This movie was horrible
Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable
This show is great, a must see for RomCom fans. It has good eye candy, an excellent cast, I guess some FX, AND possession's not just a joke, it's funny.Ruffalo shines in this. This is definitely worth watching, I do it every 2 - 3 years.
'Legally Blonde' proved that Reese Witherspoon could do comedies well, and this is one of a long line of romantic comedies she made off the back of that films success. This isn't actually that great of a film. Sappy and sentimental, it boasts some good jokes, and good performances, ironically from the supporting cast.I don't buy Mark Ruffallo as a romantic comedy lead, I'm sorry but I don't. I much prefer him playing characters like the one he played in 'Now you see me'.An easy going but flawed comedy.
Elizabeth is a workaholic doctor trying to get an attending position at a hospital in San Francisco. She loves helping people but sacrifices her social life and sleep. On one late night she is in a car accident. David is a landscape architect who has withdrawn from society out of depression and ends up renting Elizabeth's apartment. Her spirit keeps hanging around but he is the only one who can see her. This is a funny romantic comedy not a scary ghost story. There is a good twist part way through, though it is a bit predictable. I'm usually not into chick flicks, I enjoyed it and would recommend it to others.
They don't make chick flicks any more pandering than this. A young woman (Witherspoon) has a car accident and becomes comatose. A young man (Ruffalo) ends up renting her old apartment and is haunted by her spirit. Problem is, she has lost her identity and memory. Of course, she's not completely dead, so you can guess where this is going. Young women will eat this up. All others, beware. The ending falls flat, much like the ending of JUST FRIENDS, which often plays back to back with this date movie on cable. Personally, I believe Ruffalo is too good an actor to be doing movies like this. But then, I'm sure the paycheck was good. And it's not like he was being called upon to act or anything.
