I like movies that are aware of what they are selling... without [any] greater aspirations than to make people laugh and that's it.

When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.

You don't need visual effects to make people laugh. Watched this show on Netflix, couldn't bear to watch till the end, realized after 15 min that I haven't smiled once. I think Kevin Hart should focus more on content creation and focus less on Hollywood-style visual effects.

The only comedians i watch are Chris Rock and Kevin Hart, i thought i'd check this concert film out, it has it's positives and negatives, but more of the latter unfortunately. The short movie featuring Halle Berry is entertaining, they both should star in a full-length Hollywood action thriller in the future. The cinematic background clips, film themed music and sound effects that go with the stories are fun and clever. The first story about the Raccoon is not funny. The story about his son taking the trash out in the dark is entertaining, but not funny. Kevin needs to create better jokes because talking about kicking cats is not humorous. He then goes into a weird scenario about only having one shoulder, it seems he is scraping the bottom of the barrel. Kevin then starts to get annoying when he starts going on about a man having no knees and that "Really" part is even more annoying as well as childish. The show gets a bit better when he goes into a scenario about his lady and a possible shark attack, some of that is funny. The story about his son pretending to have white people's hair is hilarious, Kevin then goes overboard about "Batman" raping his son, there's some things you just don't joke about, why would you speak THAT sort of thing over your child?! The next story about Kevin's dad is okay, but it isn't funny. The story about his old-school friends vs his son is boring, but the message of that story is understandable. The rest of the stories are more continuous boring and unfunny stuff, then the dude completely loses his mind talking about sex toys, he's gone crazy and the people in that audience laughing at that are crazy, then it gets even worse and he goes into detail about a sexual experience about him and his partner, you can't help but think "What the hell is wrong with this man?!", and if you think that particular story is funny then you've lost your mind! I don't know if this dude started having a nervous breakdown onstage all of a sudden, but the sexual stuff that he was saying is disgusting, he then goes into toilet humour, completely unfunny stuff.Overall this type of comedy is about life stories, if you like that then you'll probably like this.Kevin Hart is usually a decent comedian, but this show is just not very good.

Kevin Hart's: What Now is not a typical stand up concert from Kevin Hart. This film includes a small brief showtime sketch about 20 minuets with cameos from Halle Berry, Don Cheadle and David Meunier. For fans of Kevin Hart and his type of humor, many would enjoy this stand up as he is doing his usual scheme. His comedy is definitely one which is acquired taste. The jokes in this stand up come from his mannerisms, actions, repetitive phrases and overall impressions and tone in his delivery. Many jokes hit while some do fall short. Also the effects they put in the background with the digital work makes it stand out for the better. Overall, worth the watch for fans of him, the growth is shown.

Though What Now? was a better looking comedy movie than his last one Let Me Explain, which makes perfect sense, the comedy routine was not the sharpest Kevin Hart as done.Speaking of bigger, Kevin Hart's short sketch at the beginning of the concert was just that. Hart parodies James Bond more specifically Casino Royal and does this with special guess the lovely bond girl Halle Berry and Don Cheadele who was hilarious. Hart is pumping his superstar muscle here. The concert itself was a far bigger stage. The cool part was how some of the images behind him reflected the comedy routine. Far much going on than the pyrotechnics he gave us in Let Me Explain. But the fire he laid on us was real funny and far more inter graded into the comedy bit. Kevin Hart's gonna make you laugh, that definitely goes without saying. So if you go watch What Now? you got that, but like a Rock Star trying to keep of the momentum (of that money flow), Hart's jokes are a little too safe and generic to hit the gut like he use to.Bigger better, badder, but not funnier.http://cinemagardens.com
