"I love you Renato" is a film about freedom and love in the lost 90s. The story takes place within the state of Rio in the historic city of Valença. Beto, Adriana and André embark on a journey of discovery, music and desire, until their lives and an entire generation is changed forever!

Best movie of this year hands down!
A Major Disappointment
The acting in this movie is really good.
It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
Although I do not speak or understand Portuguese, this film is so well done, that it is not difficult to follow the story line. The relationship between Beto, Andre and Adriana is convincing and moving due to the profound chemistry that exists between the three actors. Vinícius Moulin Allemand, Ingrid Conte and Felippe Vaz is what gives this film life as their performances were right on the mark in portraying three young teenagers caught up in a complicated, yet passionate love triangle.The supporting cast was equal to the task, specifically Beto's mother who provided effective comic relief even though I did not understand most of her dialogue in Portuguese.The writing, cinematography and directing was superb. I didn't even mind the out of focus shots, which would otherwise be considered a distraction for me.This is a film that worth watching even if you don't have subtitles.
