It’s an especially fun movie from a director and cast who are clearly having a good time allowing themselves to let loose.

Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.

I am only giving this movie a 1 for the great cast, though I can't imagine what any of them were thinking. This movie was horrible

The film creates a perfect balance between action and depth of basic needs, in the midst of an infertile atmosphere.

Before watching the latest live action movie adaptation from the "Tomb Raider" franchise directed by a Norwegian director Roar Uthaug i think i need to watch at least one of his movie first so I choose Flukt or Escape in english cause I love a good medieval flick and this time it set in Norway a place I hardly know anything about.Despite the main lead is just another 'Mary Sue' kind of character and a few errors in the subtitle from my version of the movie it still very easy to follow the story and about 1h 20 minutes it done a good job to entertain me

The Norwegian landscape gets put to its proper use in "Flukt", where it's ancient look makes it easy to believe that what you are watching is taking place in the middle ages.The two girls playing the leads do a great job portraying scared, but level headed, girls. The "grown-ups" did a good job too, but some of these characters were reduced to mindless goons. The movie is quite short on dialog, and some of it was pretty bad. Enough was said to keep the story going, but a little more would maybe added some (needed) depth to some of the characters.I guess you could say the plot is a series of close calls (but which action movie isn't?), and the movie sometimes takes some shortcuts for simplicity. Especially one sequence in the end would have gone down much differently if just any of the characters had said something.While the locations used for filming were really good, it was sometimes hard to feel that they connected with each other, and because they were so different (rocks, forests, mountains, plains) it was sometimes hard to place them right next to each other (even though they very well could have been).

This film was actually more enjoyable with subtitles - it's interesting how many phrases sound identical to Scots. That aside, I've not been so absorbed in a film for a long time. I noticed an earlier review which mentioned that a rubber sole on a shoe was visible in one scene - my thoughts while watching the film were that the footwear seemed authentic and that the soles appeared to be wooden, and I think that sounds likely to be feasible, as wooden soles and clogs were around in Europe since before Roman times. The overall period feel of the film seemed faultless to me. The performances of all the actors were of a high order and wholly convincing. The script tells a simple yet powerful story - usually I tend to answer email and reply to messages in the middle of films these days (getting old, I guess) but not with this one. Excellent film.

While pondering what to watch on Netflix, I stumbled upon this film, read the description/summary and started to watch it. I have low faith in random Netflix choices so I fast forwarded further into the picture and amazingly understood the whole film. My eyes were glued to the screen from then on. I also believe the subtitles save this film, and having it in a foreign language adds to the authenticity and historical value to the story. The actors were dazzling and very talented.This film is the first endeavor for most of the cast and you can feel the rawness during scenes. The film making and camera work is splendid with crystal clear images of great lands and mystical country side.What I found most interesting is the concise and crisp story outline that develops a multitude of raw emotion. I was surprised by my mysticism of this random flick on Netflix so I gave it 10 stars. 10 stars for raw, real, and beautiful awesomeness! This film was also very very visually and literally beautiful!
