Watch Lost Boys: The Tribe For Free

Good movie, but best of all time? Hardly . . .

At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.

Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.

The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.

I watched the uncut version once, and that was enough. It came off as a 90-minute conversation by 13-year-old boys in a middle school locker room.One gets the impression that there were a lot of rip-offs. Why does the leader of the tribe look like Lestat from the Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice? Why is the monster makeup clearly a rip-off from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", and indifferently applied to boot?Many questions are left unresolved: What was the young fellow whooping about when Frog drove off with him at the end of the movie? What criteria about the first kill is used to justify the total transformation of the hero? (The first kill criteria is peculiar to this story. If it exists anywhere else, I don't know of it.)Legends and Lore: Again, Anne Rice's novels provide the criteria. A primary rule in the Vampire Chronicles is that while feeding, you don't make a mess all over the place. That way you aren't constantly ruining your clothes. The Tribe certainly is sloppy in its feeding habits. Who does their laundry?I'll close my comments here by saying that "Lost Boys: The Tribe" is simply sloppy. Watch it to find out what it is all about (the preceding movie as well), then forget it unless you want to show it to gross out someone else.

Okay, I'm sure hate would come my way for this review. That being said, I honestly don't understand all the hate for the Second movie.The Lost Boys is my favorite movie of all time and honestly changed my life(Crazy, I know). So when I found out there was a sequel, I was completely stoked. Watching it, I thought it was awesome enough to compare to the first one. Having Kiefer Sutherland's half brother Angus portray the main vampire Shane was brilliant because I thought he did a amazing job as well as the others playing vampires. Actually, all the cast was great.There is a lot of comparisons between this one and the original. Take for example, a female vampire dies due to deer antlers just like David in number one. Lots of vampire scenes which is great.I honestly don't understand what the hate is all about with this movie because I thought it was a good sequel to follow the first one.

This film is OK-HOWEVER it came 20 years too late!!! The first film was epic and will remain everyones favourite. They should have done this sequel about a year or so after the first and should have had all the original cast in especially SAM, Michael, grandpa, mom and Star!!! We want to know what happened to all of them!!! I really think Joel Schumacher should have directed this as well as he understood the LB properly-REALLY not a good movie. Suppose its OK if you have never seen the first one but if you have then this JUST doesn't make the grade! They really needed Corey Haim in it properly working alongside the Frog brothers. REALLY miss the original cast :((( Very sad to watch this really

The IMDb rating of this movie doesn't do it justice. The film was not bad. In fact, it is my opinion that the soundtrack in the original made it feel a lot better than it actually was. This being said, there is a huge gap between the seductive horror of the original Lost Boys and the slightly above boring atmosphere of The Tribe.The main problem lies in the director, I guess. He lets the main character come up as an uptight unlikeable ass, while allowing Corey Feldman to be silly, thus robbing us of any strong lead character. The girl is no better, as she is portrayed as uber sexy and she is rather bland. The vampires were a little cooler, and choosing Angus Sutherland as the head undead was a nice touch. It all fails when the fighting action starts, though.Bottom line: decent sort of a remake of Lost Boys, but lacking the brilliance of the first. A better director or just a little more effort could have done wonders for this film. It is certainly not below average, but sadly not above, either.
