An out-of-town heist becomes a nightmare for a crew of French burglars when they mistakenly rob the head of the Chicago mafia. Unaccustomed to the ways of the American underworld, it is not long before they have the mafia, the FBI and a couple of street gangs on their backs as they attempt to make their way back to Paris.

Beautiful, moving film.
I like movies that are aware of what they are selling... without [any] greater aspirations than to make people laugh and that's it.
Simple and well acted, it has tension enough to knot the stomach.
The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
Maybe it seems that this movie is a French copy - Or better to say, a French version, as it's something different - of "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels". it's a nice, smooth movie that you can enjoy both comedy side and action side of it. Plus some romantic sequences with a French taste.Good acts, good music, good story and last but not the least a really good direction has made this movie something. I saw it yesterday night for the third time after 4 years and enjoyed it as much as the first time.It is a "Must see" movie. It has some points which are quiet original and you cannot find them in any other movie.I strongly recommend it.
Its a very unusual gangster film, where the goons who try to make a score in their life, by doing at least one job right, they land up committing more faux pas, and land up in bigger soups then ever. Its hilarious to watch unusual faces playing characters which are so natural, but the happenings are so funny. Its very funny to watch the modus operandi of Gangsters in relation with cops, and their intermingled complexities with various other small time goons, who operate in the same city, but are precarious of their so called seniors in the city. The eventual climax forms a twist in the tale where the escape route chosen by the gangsters to get out of the complex situation, is gripping, and portrays the ignorance and innocence of trapped Gangsters, in an alien city, amongst, cops, CBI, small street goons, and nigger's.
I bought this on sale at blockbuster sight unseen.. I figured how bad can it be .. harvey kitel .. it was excellent. An awesome crime/comedy i laughed and laughed .. from the beginning to the end.it just has everything you could want in a crime/comedy movie and more. i would definitely recommend it to anyone. there are a lot of movies that claim to be what this one is .. and just don't have the "get go" to make it through a feature length time frame. if i had to associated it with other films they would be Snatch, Lock Stock and two smoking barrels, Payback and others. This is one i would like to have seen on the big screen.
After a failure in a robbery, a gang of five fumbled French and one Algerian who does not speak French flies to Chicago to heist some jewels. The gang, composed by Daniel Foray (Gérard Depardieu), Marcel Burot (Johnny Halliday), Zero (Renaud), Julien Labesse (Stéphane Freiss), Raymond Gayet (Albert Dray) and Sami (Said Taghmaoui) steal the car of a violent chief of a street gang and meet with Sophie Nicols (Joanne Kelly), who gives the address where the jewels are stored to them. However, the house indeed belongs to a local boss of Chicago Mafia, Frankie Zammeti (Harvey Keitel), and does not have any jewels, but some tapes with the plot of Zammeti for killing Angelo Giancarlo (Abe Vigode), a powerful chief of the Mafia. A corrupt FBI agent has financial interests on the tapes and chases them. The gang is also hunted by the Mafia, the street gang and the Chicago police. This movie is a combination of comedy and police story, having very funny situations. It is an excellent entertainment. The problem is the trailer, available in other DVDs, which shows basically the whole story. My vote is eight.Title (Brazil): `Procurados' (`Wanted')
