Trade: eye catching horror. This movie has me out of my seat. I cant seem to get myself to look away from the screen. Jorge is a great character on the aspect of being the one trying to save his sister. The time he seen that man with the little boy in that rest stop, i felt like i was right there. This film feels so real.Jorge is my favorite character for this film. He is so into his character when he is bidding on his sister. His tears made me feels as if i was in the same situation as he was. Ray in this movie is amazing as well. He helps Jorge track down his sister. This is by far the best movie i have ever seen!

Trade: A World Unknown I saw Trade and felt like I was part of it all. It is a drama about a young man trying to get his sister back, and on the way he gets an unlikely accomplice. This movie was cast-ed very well, the actors bring their roles to life and make you feel what they are going through. The performance given by Cesar Romas (Jorge) was especially impressive. He gave a phenomenal performance, and Cesar made sure you, a viewer, feel as if you were experiencing and feeling exactly what he felt and the suffering that he endured. Kevin Kline (Ray) put on an amazing performance, Ray is an insurance fraud investigator. You wouldn't see this alliance coming, as Jorge is very leary of police and white people. This movie brings a world that is largely unknown to light. It shows just how easy it is for a girl to be taken and get caught up in this terrible life, and how hard it is to get out of. The audience will see a side of this world that everyone would like to believe doesn't exist, a side of the world that is hidden and unseen by normal citizens. The viewer will see how easy it is for the people who do this to get away with it and how it is so normal for them and these poor people. This movie will make you wonder just how messed up one person would have to be to do that stuff to another human being.

Trade: A Good Nail BiterTrade is definitely a product of the more Hollywoodified side of the film industry. That's not a bad thing though. Trade leaves the viewer in a state of fixation in the first fifteen minutes. The film writers do a very good job of building up action, executing that action and cooling down; this is rinsed and repeated various times throughout the film. This makes for a movie that doesn't compensate suspense for plot-or vice versa. Therefore, all necessary components of storytelling are all in the right places while achieving maximum amount of suspense. Trade is by no means dry; but one of it's main characters Ray (Kevin Kline) can make the film drag in certain areas. Maybe I am one of the only people to think that his acting was uninspired and very blunt; however, it could've very well been meant to be that way by the script writers. The narrative and shear amount of refinement in this film make up for that. Some critics will dog this film for being unrealistic. To be completely honest, there's a lot of unrealistic occurrences in this film. Without spoiling major parts of the plot, a good visual of this is when the young girl, Adriana (Paulina Gaitan), is abducted. Neither her mother, nor her brother Jorge (Cesar Ramos) go to the police at anytime. Instead Jorge talks to what is perceived to be a private investigator who simply brushes him off and basically tells him "good luck". Despite the unrealism in this film, without it there wouldn't be a film. That's where this film excels; it pushes the boundaries of the real world on purpose to paint a picture of what enslaved people in the sex trade is like. But it also knows where to draw those lines to keep an audience entertained. Another nice feature in the film is that in fast paced scenes the camera work is shaken up and sporadic (though not to a point you'll get motion sick or can't tell what's going on) to add a chaotic effect for the viewer's point of view. However, the camera work throughout the entirety of the film is very refined. There's no haze and the lighting is great.Trade kept me entertained throughout the entirety of the film and I really was engaged. I constantly tried to tie things together as to what would happen next in the plot and desired more and more from the film. Despite its minimal amount of unrealism and spotty acting in some areas, the film was overall entertaining and a very good work of art. If the producer's goal was to make a film that depicted what sex trafficking is like for the victims-and even traffickers, as one trafficker, Manuelo (Marco Perez) struggles with the moral dilemma of trafficking girls- I'd say they did their job and did it well.

The film Trade is a great film. It was filmed in 2007. The movie can sometimes get intense, but it helps get the point of the film across to how terrible it is for these girls that are kidnapped and sold into human trafficking. This film will really open up your mind about human trafficking and how terrible these people are treated. The film started with Jorge (Cesar Ramos) getting his sister, Adriana (Paulina Gaitan), a bicycle without their mom's approval. When Adriana left the house without her mothers permission to ride her bicycle. She was kidnapped by human traffickers while she was out riding her bike. Her brother Jorge went looking for her. He met up with Texas police officer Ray Sheridan (Kevin Klein) who had previously had his daughter sold into human trafficking. The two searched for Adriana and their search eventually led them to New Jersey. This film can create many different emotions throughout it. The film will leave an impression on a someone such as just wondering how a person could lock another human in a room and not let them out and sell them for sex? Or how could someone actually buy another human being? The film Trade is definitely worth watching. Trade is a film that can open up the mind of a person. It helps the viewer realize that human trafficking does really occur in this world. Most people don't understand that people are still really bought and sold in our world today. I didn't know this until we started researching human trafficking in my senior English class in high school. When we watched Trade, every one of us were surprised to see to see this really happens to people. The film Trade is definitely worth watching.
