As Good As It Gets

Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.

Very fun and entertaining movie with some of the best female stars of that era to make one of the very first chick flicks. As a man I personally couldn't keep my attention through this 2 hour long movie but can understand how some could. The one thing I liked about this film was how each of the characters had their own unique personality that clashed to make for very funny scenes. This film is also unique itself by having an only female cast which was very strange for this time period.

The women is a great movie and comedy. It informs you of self worth and what you deserve and the difficulties of dealing with a cheating man. Its covered throughout with comedy though with Mrs. haynes best friends certain characters ! Silvia being the best, best friend she has ! If it was not for her she wouldn't have known about Stevens affair and she the most round character in the movie. The fashion was also interesting as well , seeing the way it was staged back in the 1930's. Great film. !

An entire hilarious comedy written without and portrayed without the need for a single male actor to be the star of the show? I knew I would love this movie. Watching the characters interact, fight, bond, and grow with each other was a journey in itself and made me feel like one of the girls. The gossip was juicy, the aesthetic was exciting and glamorously feminine, yet nothing felt forced or unconvincing. The nature of the story had me briefly confused in the beginning of the movie, as I was unsure what the story was. However, that had only been a minor issue that got quickly resolved. I highly recommend this movie for those looking for empowerment through friendship and the resolution of some good gossip!

I thought this movie was very very interesting and I had never seen a movie like it before I have watched this one. I found it very interesting that it not only portrayed women in its entirety but it was completely cast by women. I feel for the time that this movie came out, this was huge seeing how women did not seem to have as equal of an opportunity as men did growing up and even throughout their lives they could be subject to unfair treatment. One scene I was not a fan of in the movie was the fashion show. One thing I find to like in every film is consistency throughout the film. If the movie is black and white I like it to stay black and white throughout the film. I do understand it is different for the time this movie came out but for such a great film this is one thing I did not like. Aside from that I thought this was a very interesting movie and I really did like it even though I was skeptical going into it
