Load of rubbish!!
I don't have all the words right now but this film is a work of art.
Good movie, but best of all time? Hardly . . .
It's complicated... I really like the directing, acting and writing but, there are issues with the way it's shot that I just can't deny. As much as I love the storytelling and the fantastic performance but, there are also certain scenes that didn't need to exist.
I had high expectations -- I like the films of Frears. But this one just doesn't do it for me. The characters are walking stereotypes, and they are either saints or cartoon villains. The plot holes abound: for example, why the heart in the toilet at the beginning of the movie? I understand the need for the symbolism, but it is really contrived (where's the rest of the body... ?). The worst fault of the movie is that it sacrifices both realism and nuance in order to clumsily and gracelessly hammer home a political thesis. Please, please progressive filmmakers, don't make such manicheistic movies: I feel a tiny bit less left wing after having seen Dirty Pretty Things, as a reaction against its ham-fistedness and single- mindedness.
This is a movie about two immigrants living in London. The two main characters is Owke, a man from Nigeria and a Turkish woman called Senay. Baisackly this Movie is about the two of them, trying to get a Passport, and they get involved in a bad environment. I guess this movie have a good manuscript, if you are a bit older, and have interest for these types of movies, but to be honest i did not like this movie at all. It was boring, and I had trouble understanding what they said because of their English, and therefore i did not really get much out of the movie. I don't think this is a movie for teenagers, since the movie it self was quite boring, and difficult to understand.
The film is not for teenagers and up to 30. The Movie is a bit boring. There is always a problem of getting a job in the film. And it is basically about the main characters getting a passport. They are in the country illegal. so it is based on this theme. But i am not sure how to feel about the film. If you are of the old generations, you would watch this without problem. the new and younger generation would not feel like they would watch this movie. If you are into immigrants and people. you could watch his. If the people actions had more of action and feelings it would be a much better movie. I rate it 5 our of 10, I am a teenager, i don't like this content. but hey, who knows, maybe you wil. The music is good, it is placed in agood time in the scene's. it does match often.
Dirty pretty things is a film about two immigrants trying to make their way in England. The plot is in my opinion not very interesting as it draws out and never really gets you hooked on what is happening. And it sort of jumps from one scene to another leaving you really confused about what is happening. The acting is alright, but sometimes it occurs that the actors sort of fall out of their character and then it becomes really bad adding the fact that none of the character are particularly interesting. The music is OK, but nothing special and the sound design is not very good at all.
