Watch The Strange Ones For Free

Beautiful, moving film.

As somebody who had not heard any of this before, it became a curious phenomenon to sit and watch a film and slowly have the realities begin to click into place.

The acting is good, and the firecracker script has some excellent ideas.

Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.

'The Strange Ones' is a very understated film. It never really makes a lot of effort to blow you away in any one particular scene. Instead it is happy to build the tension and develop the story and attempt to impress you in that way. For this reason some are going to find this a very dull film experience. It has a runtime of only 80 minutes and even that can feel like it is stretching itself thin at times. If you look deeper though I think this film actually had quite a cool little story arc to tell, it just didn't do it in the most impactful way.When the credits rolled I had to actually stop and ask myself whether I liked the film or not. Even now, hours later at I write this I'm not entirely sure how I feel. I think I liked what the film was trying to do, and if I understand it rightly it is quite a smart film. It is quite ambiguous though and I know a lot of people aren't fond of that in modern cinema. There are certain scenes in the film (like the disappearing cup) that lead to me think there were a lot of layers attempting to be piled on here and a second viewing may be necessary to fully appreciate what it was trying to achieve. It won't be for everyone, but if you're willing to invest some time and energy of thought then you might just have a very good time with this one.

Behind the surface ... we have two individuals travelling and we know almost nothing about those two male characters apart from them being related. That is established and you can kind of come up with reasons why they are on a road trip, but if you haven't read anything about the movie, you may be in the dark and guess wrong.So if you like slow burning mystery (drama), this one could be for you. It is really well acted and the ambiguity surrounding the characters and their backstory is what drives the movie (no pun intended). Hopefully you can watch this with patience and take it in as it moves on (again sorry for the pun). There is not happening much, but you could cut the tension in the air with a knife ... if that sounds intriguing, you should watch this

If your suffering from insomnia and need to get to sleep watch this movie. I think Hollywood movie scripts have hit rock bottom. I wish I could say their was a story but watching a man and young boy driving across the country and not making any sense is not much for entertainment.

(No spoilers -- this is intended to be vague because you really want to watch this one and get your perspective from it)I know the critics seem to be heavy on this one and many who have reviewed this movie either love it or somewhat don't know what to say. Let me help those who would rather watch movies with not so easy plots and scene sequences to guide you through the story/narrative. I will start by saying this movie hits well on mystery and/or unanswered questions. If you want the normal thrills that easily hand you the plot from start to finish you will probably not take so well to this one. I love the beautiful scenes of somber to horrific type footage. The story and plot was woven into those scenes very methodically so to not give you a linear way of grasping the whole of the movie. They should make more like this. The directors and actors were on point. Casting could NOT have been better....no big time stars to overshadow the story -- just some good old original creativity. Watch this movie with your mind on...not off.
