The acting in this movie is really good.
It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
There are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.
An old-fashioned movie made with new-fashioned finesse.
At first I was rather skeptical about watching this one, but oh no, I am so glad that I did, I really enjoyed this movie, has a good story line and well filmed. Interesting story, based on a true story. Was slightly skeptical about watching this one after reading a couple of the previous reviews but I am glad that I did, it certainly made for an entertaining watch. I'm a regular marijuana user so naturally I enjoyed the heavy theme of marijuana - though I do think this would be a good watch for someone who's never touched it, good cinematography and story, give it a watch, glad that I did. A couple of the scenes did feel somewhat lacking and you could tell that the makers did not have a large budget to play with - though nonetheless they pulled it off well. Definitely recommend.
Theme about the youngsters are always soaring with high commercial elements with lots of comedy that hardly brings any smile on us. This was one of the teen movie based on the true story of the two friends which is mostly uninspiring, but a well told story. The young actor from one of my favorite teen movie 'Project X' was incredibly good. He's really showing some characters that he may become a valuable property in the Hollywood in the near future. He also reminds me a crossover outcome of Seth Rogen and Jonah Hill.Well the story was about two school dropouts who decide to do business on marijuana import-export. Since it is not illegal in the nearby place to their's across the border, they draw a master plan to execute and succeeds and what comes later is you've to see. Actually, one of a better movie told from the negative side of the social welfare. So good to enjoy the film, but not to follow it.
First, Nate (fat nerdy kid) decides to get into drug trafficking. Does so with remarkable ease by finding the best grade of weed from a secret supplier in Canada by just driving into a gas station and smoking some grass with a hot girl he and his friend Christopher just met. Then, a big time hustler, who apparently would do business with my cousin's 6 year old son, hands same fat nerdy kid over half a million dollars whose only security deposit is a kid brother and a mother who really couldn't care less that her son was an overnight millionaire. The story may have been a great one, but Jonathan Daniel Brown has to be the worst example of a leading actor (especially in this kind of role) coupled with the sometimes ludicrously poor character executions possible.Had hope, but it wasn't worth it.
First of all this movie has a bad title which makes you think it is a stupid mindless comedy which it is not, it is actually based on true events. The reason I rated it 7 is because it has some truly realistic elements about it starting off with Jonathan Daniel Brown portraying the leading role, not your common type cast for a main character especially in American movies, also other cast members and events were realistic in a way that reminded me of Jessie Pinkman's friends and their Shenanigans in "Breaking Bad". However after the first hour of the movie I just kind of lost interest in the very boring and predicted turn of events and continued watching till the end while playing with my phone .Final note: Kenny Wormald (talking about bad names ) portraying Topher has a real star quality about him, I wouldn't be surprised seeing him star in something big in the future, maybe there's a good reason why guy's like that get to play the main characters and guy's like Jonathan Daniel Brown usually settle for the side-kick's part.
