Very best movie i ever watch
Brilliant and touching
I wanted to like it more than I actually did... But much of the humor totally escaped me and I walked out only mildly impressed.
This film is so real. It treats its characters with so much care and sensitivity.
i watched this movie a decade ago, recently had a conversation with friends about terrible movies and i brought this up, it was so bad that i physically took the DVD outside and burnt it, the story line was so disjointed and lacked any real depth, it was so bad i had to sign up to IMDb just so i could write this review of it because i couldn't let go of the disappointment 10 years later, god i have to write more before i can submit this? kid rock plays a token white guy who has been teleported from a Disney after school kids show,Soul power makes bikes go faster and dads are so awesome that they would rather take bikes to the face than go home with their families, if there is any salvagebility to this movie it requires many many ounces of the devils lettuce to warp terrible dialogue and "plot" into blazed giggles.
Maybe Biker Boyz wasn't as good as I thought it was, but the fact of the matter is, I saw "Torque" before I saw Biker Boyz. And after having seen "Torque", any movie with street bikes in them that didn't run on pixie dust was going to be better. I honestly disregarded the acting and the plot to simply gawk at the bikes and what the riders would do on the bikes. There were some cool stunts and really pretty machines. Those bikes were so beautiful that I know it has skewed my judgment of the movie; but hey, at least I'm honest about it.The plot wasn't all bad... the racing aspect of it that is. Besides the racing for "lids" story, and trying to dethrone the top gun, the rest of the movie was just filler. "Biker Boyz" is decent enough to kill time.
I don't understand the negative views about this movie. I think that it is excellent. It shows reality and has a story line. I would rank this movie higher than a 10 if i could. Biker Boyz was well put together and was very interesting. It was a good movie with little violence, and it is also a more real approach to what a Bike crew really does. Everyone thinks that all they do is race around. They are just like a football team. I wish they would come out with Biker Boyz 2. There was drama in the movie but it went with the story line. I think that there was not an over kill of it and not to little it was very balanced. I wish that people would give it a chance and see the movie for what it is and not just a bike movie. If you sit and watch it you can really get into it. I can watch this movie anytime and day and have seen it at least 15 times. "Burn Rubber not Your Soul" is one of the best catch phrases I have heard in a movie. Stating to be true to your self. What other movies can you say that about. Everyone is so caught up in non reality and homosexuality. Lets keep our minds open instead of passing judgment. I mean we are giving movies like Broke Back Mountain better reviews that a movie that for once doesn't demonstrate that.
I think this movie was good. It had a pretty good story line and the actors are fun! I would say watch it... it has potential, there should be a sequel. Laurence Fishburn is a great actor and it is nice that the boy is trying to be like his dad. This is definitely a movie for mature audiences only because you have to be mature enough to understand the plot and follow the story, it is not one of those "teen" movies. It is a great movie to watch if you are not afraid of bikes and death, but if you are and if you can't understand deep stories, this is not the movie for you! If you can handle it, sit back and enjoy this movie, and oh yeah, Kid Rock kicks butt!!!
