By the time the dramatic fireworks start popping off, each one feels earned.

I have gone back and forth with my feelings of Tyler Perry's movies. I enjoy them for their material and especially for their religious content. Most of his movies/plays do have a rich background that everything will work out and that God has a plan and as a Christian myself I love that this is included. I believe this movie was good. I enjoyed the characters and the situations they each had but I don't believe any of them were ever resolved. It left the viewer confused. Jill and Troy's problems were never discussed, Angela and Marcus never truly solved their trust issues and Terry and Dianne seemed to just let everything go without talking about it. Each of these situations in themselves could have been their own movie. There was so much that wasn't answered, so much that wasn't talked about. The worst was Patricia and Gavin. Both the first and second movie showed them having issues however, not only were they not resolved but they were barely shown in the first place. They were arguing and clearly in a difficult situation but it's still unknown what was wrong even after the end of the second movie. If Tyler Perry would have gone deeper into the issues of the relationships (or at least solved them in an appropriate way) I probably would have given this movie a 10. On a positive note, Tasha Smith is hilarious! She plays her character so well!

As a fan of Tyler Perry, I must say that his first cinematic take on marital relationships was great and in my opinion, incredibly heartwarming. However, for some insane reason, the man who made the sharp tongued, pistol waving Madea famous decided to surprise us with the atrocious sequel " Why Did I Get Married Too"? For starters, there's too much melodrama for this to be taken seriously. Not to mention the fact that the screwed up, hair brained characters are impossible to watch. First, we have Patty (Janet Jackson) going from being a seemingly loving, happy wife to being a vindictive, psychotic bitch before half of the film is over. Then you have Sheila's mean, prick of an ex husband showing up out of the blue trying to win her back only for her to turn around and take pity on him when she finds out he's terminally ill. Next we have all of the characters suddenly falling into each other's arms at the hospital after crazy Patty screams "FIX IT, FIX IT " !!!!!!!! C'mon ! The melodramatic, Jerry Springer like episodes was absolutely redundant. The controlling, psycho Angela shows up at her husband's job accusing him of having an affair ! Seriously ? Last but not least, Patty, who we realize isn't an expert on relationships as we thought humiliates her soon to be ex husband at work right before he gets killed ! I strongly believe that Perry could've done much better than this. Since WDIGM features the same characters, WDIGM 2 gives viewers the impression that they are wrong for each other where as the first one shows how the characters grew fonder of each other despite hidden secrets and flaws. Aside from the gorgeous view of the Carribbean, I definitely don't suggest watching this film. If you wanna watch a movie on how to ruin your marriage, this movie is for you. If not, see the first one instead.

First of all let me say, I liked a great many scenes and there were story lines I wish that could have been played out better and I wish this could be remade, with certain changes. First of all, the Mike character popping in made sense only when it was revealed he was ill. While it wasn't spelled out or fleshed out, I believe he was there, not to cause trouble, but because he was ill and he wanted to set " things " right. Also, I do believe he truly missed Sheila, which was another story line not pulled together. Patty and Gavin. Let them divorce, but let him live. Watch her go through the loss of a husband and their child on her own, dealing with loss without going over the top. Then, perhaps, when she learns to practice what she preaches, work on reconciliation. It wasn't the worst movie I have ever seen, but it definitely needed better writing and a sense of direction. Angela and Marcus - God, someone call AA or get her into an Anger Management group. She can be a little too over the top, but I will admit, her antics sometimes make me laugh like crazy. Sheila and Troy...sweet couple trying to deal with life in a realistic manner. Please remake this as " Why Did I Get Married Three - An Apology For #2 " and I'd be happy.

This is a terrible movie. Everything is contrived. The characters don't seem real. This is a sad sequel.I could not feel the pain and the emotions that most of the characters felt in the movie. Some of the marital problems depicted are so silly, a ten year old could solve it for the silly couples. The climax of the film is all hurried up. The redemption and reconciliation towards the end is hypocritical. And phony. It would be better to repeat the original. There is much value in that movie.Avoid this awful movie and save your time. We may not mind the ticket or the rental expense but, we never get a refund for the time lost on such junk. Janet is hamming through out the movie.
