I'll tell you why so serious
Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.
It is neither dumb nor smart enough to be fun, and spends way too much time with its boring human characters.
Actress is magnificent and exudes a hypnotic screen presence in this affecting drama.
i don't have proof that i wrote this before it came out but i have witnesses that seen me write it with my brother just messing around making up some weird eye story about have sex with girls and killing people i had to pawn my computer for money and didn't bother erasing the story and now i watch this movie and its basically the same thing i wrote so I'm kinda mad in a way the story wasn't suppose to be made into a movie if i find the director or the so called writer I'm gonna get my money you made from this anyone got anything to say to me about this story you can because I'm the original writer it was only for laughs it wasn't suppose to be made into a movie because i knew how corny it would be well farewell for now Milo destruction
When I first saw this movie in the Video store, turned it over and saw it was Full Moon picture. I know I had to rent it. The Killer Eye!! Unfortunately, the copy I picked up was only the R-Rated version...When I purchase this movie, I will get the Unrated...AnywayWhere did they spend $400,000 on this movie? I would say all on the Killer Eye. And, possibly Jaqueline Lovell's salary...Since she does seem to be the biggest name out of the bunch. And she, as stunning as she is too look at...she is a horrible actress...Blake Bailey, as Creepy Bill, was the main attraction for me in this silly mess of a movie....his overly silly character, movements, voice and appearance were hilarious!! The bigger salary should have gone to him!Anyway, through a parade of no-names, this movie barley squeaks out at 67 minutes long...the R-Rated version only 60...heavily cut for this type of movie....Silly Slow-Mo sex scene, with no need, David Oren Ward (RIP) looked to be Masturbating while watching Ms. Lovell and his stoner friend "gettin' it on"....There is nothing special, or new about this movie...Mad Scientist trying to find out about another dimension, the 8th to be exact...a very attractive cast, save for the woman in the shower scene..she wasn't too much to look at...a young male prostitute who eye becomes the Killer Eye is about the most unusal thing about this movie...A male prositute.....Anyways...this movie is good for laughs and laughs only....something keep in any collection.....escpecially if you are a conessiour of Full Moon movies like myself....10 out of 10 for total Cheese!!2 out of 10 for everything else....
This movie is BAD in just about every department....acting, special effects, dialogue, the whole premise seems to have come from some cheesy/sleazy comic book dimension. All of this is not to say that it's not entertaining. The "intended" humorous moments fall with a thud, but don't worry....the biggest and best laughs here are the unintentional ones. Connoisseurs of bad cinema will have a field day with "The Killer Eye," even though at only 68 minutes, it seems to be stretching it's material pretty thin. If "MST3K" was still around, this would be a prime candidate for their snide and satirical barbs.
Jeez, I think I am in love with Jacquelline Lovell. Thats a good thing, because I rented her movie, "THE KILLER EYE" and it was SO horrible, she was the only thing worth looking at. Unfortunately, you only get to see a few, sparse, poorly-done soft erotic scenes with her. She has done a lot of movies and even been featured by Playboy, so it is astounding to me that she was connected in anyway with a movie as awful as "THE KILLER EYE." I am an aspiring film maker myself and this movie, "THE KILLER EYE" makes people like wonder, "How is that this movie actually got made, but I am unable to get the funding for the projects I want to do?" Even a beginning film student could make a movie better than "THE KILLER EYE." The lighting was amateurish, the acting was terrible, the effects were poorly done, the writing was bad, the cinematography was really bad (they used slow motion when there was no need at all for it and the shots were poorly set up) and the musical score for the movie was downright annoying. Whoever the guy was with the synthesizer, let me tell you, sometimes less is more. It was very "soap opera like." In other words, cheasey music covering EVERY single frame of film. Hey, if you are John Williams, you can do that and make it work. But if you have a casio keyboard, give it a rest. Here is the thing, though: The premise of the movie, allbeit ridiculous, would actually be cool if they had done it as a comedic short film, a horror movie spoof, almost like a cartoon. And they should have taken a totally over the top approach to it. Lots of lightening strikes at dramatic moments, some classic over acting, especially on the part of the "mad scientist" and the "EYE" should have been a bit more violent, instead of just perverted.I rented this movie because I wanted to give it a chance. I liked the idea, a mad scientist creates a monster in his laboratory. What movie buff wouldn't like that premise? I thought, "Hey, a movie I have never heard of, done on a low budget. Take a break from mainstream Hollywood." But I was let down. Don't make the mistake I made, for your own good avoid this movie. It really STINKS! No offense to Jacquelline, at least she looked great. Even terrible film makers couldn't make her look bad! What a babe.
