The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.

I didn’t really have many expectations going into the movie (good or bad), but I actually really enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and the banter between them.

There are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.

This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.

I never watched this movie in theater reason being the negatives reviews this movie got specially from Indian audience......but i gathered the courage and saw it last week and boy am i surprised.......the movie is nothing like what the reviews say rather it never felt like i am watching a crappy and nonetheless an idiotic spicy Indian movie like for e.g this years hit "houseful"............i enjoyed the movie throughout and specially was impressed by the lead pairs acting talents i.e,Hrithik and Barbara.......i am aware of the fact that Hrithik used to suffer from stammering disorder but after lots of struggling and self control and determination he overcame his disability...........but i was not convinced as to his English speaking but when i saw this movie ,i dint felt like it was a theater like acting ...it looked natural.......and what a find Barbara Mori is !!!....i am sure she will do good in global cinemas.Now coming to the plot...well to be honest it does not entertain anything which is new....the plot is as predictable as in any typical love story...........but that is not the concern here, the main emphasize is on the presentation.....the way it was presented, it totally outclassed any regular Bollywood short love stories.. but i am disappointed as Hrithik dancing is not used as to his par....the dance competition was poorly edited and the camera angles were all wrong......i was expecting a venture like it was done in "Step Up" franchisee.....but all in all it is a good watch.As far as Indian audience is concerned .........it was predictable from the fact like good pictures such as "Swades" and "lakshya" failed to set a mark on box office then a movie like "Kites" certainly cant be a blockbuster keeping this fact in mind.

From the first scene itself, the camera n cinematography of the movie, gives u the feeling of watching a classic Oscar-nominated movie. The movie is A class. Acting is superb. Makeup excellent. Stunts are awesome. Plus the cinematography is world-class, which adds together to form a perfect blend of cinema and art that Kites is !Hrithik is stunning and so is Barbara and all the cast - not a bit of over or under acting - just perfect and absolutely flawless ! Background score is too good. Kudos to director Anurag Basu for this brilliant cinematic piece. I think its a movie I can watch without video (the background scores and music are that good) or even without audio (the cinematography is so good) !

I've watched hundreds of Indian Movies, honestly most of them too disappointing when it comes to action and visual effect, Kites bring new breeze, the plot maybe usual and classic ( people who fell in love would do anything ) but since this is an Indian version the story is quite melancholy but not excessive i'm enjoying this movie very much, to describe the movie in one word so kites is "beautiful" If you are a huge fan of some nut thrilling/action movie like Saw,Rambo,Texas chainsaw and so many kind of them then you should go far away from this movie, but if you love something like romantic but combined with action then this movie is a good choice for your weekend entertainment

This was a pretty cool movie, a different and unique prospect in Hindi Cinema for the first time. Maybe I'm a little biased because being Indian guy I myself really like Hispanic/Latin girls a lot.This movie leaves you in some puzzles which I guess the story writers didn't seem to give any importance to for some reason because I kept wondering whatever happened to that situation etc.. Action scenes could've been better.There were many parts that could've been better as I did not enjoy seeing Hrithik being a wimp, his comeback after what happened in the story should've been as appealing as his character in Doom 2, A Tough/Masculine risk taking thief with lots of charisma.This movie also had some similarities between the Hollywood movie "A man apart" starring Vin Diesel and offcourse the bolly movie Awarapan starring Emran Hashmi and Ashutosh Rana. After this movie ended I felt the same feeling I got after watching Awarapan.Overall I really enjoyed it. Barbra Mori was very beautiful and their Chemistry really did work. I just hope more Latin actresses get involved with Bollywood because this concept is Brilliant.So go see Kites!
