After playing with our expectations, this turns out to be a very different sort of film.

It's a feast for the eyes. But what really makes this dramedy work is the acting.

When Jacob was laying on the floor after the embalming fluid was put in him. I was like dude take that knife and cut his head off. They killed everyone and made no sense how Jacob survived. All of his blood was drained out of him. The Hospital didn't make sense. Hospitals still have security or Dr.s or Nurses around at night and everyone else whose at the hospital. So it made no sense to choose a hospital for this. Really stupid moments in this film. When a Dude is chasing you it is not the time to have a break down or a falling in love moment. Get out of there. I was hoping the big dude would have had a bit of a fight in him. Like Knock Jacob down or win a struggle or two. He just simply killed everyone. And in that killed the story. No hero at the end nothing. I did love how the nerdy hero dude threw those shelves when he first encountered Jacob. He just pushes it over in front of him. That must've stopped him. LOL This movie just sucked all the characters were stupid. You're in a hospital. You're smart. Like used the stuff Amy used to colorize the guy's wound. And use it to burn Jacob with. And she needs to learn how to swing a hammer. And the girl's name is Katie and she's riding Kane thinking he's dead. For you's who don't know. Their was a story line back in like 2003 I think, where it was revealed that Kane had a girlfriend named Katie Vick who died in a car accident. And the story revealed that Kane had sex with Katie's dead body. So it's interesting to me as a fan that they have a character named Katie assuming to flirt with a dead Kane. Show less REPLY

As with Halloween II, See No Evil 2 takes place immediately after the events of the first film, with psycho Jacob Goodnight (Glenn Jacobs) being carted to the local morgue, where pathologists Amy (Danielle Harris) and Seth (Kaj-Erik Eriksen) are pulling the night shift. However, as with Halloween's killer Michael Myers, Goodnight proves to be far from dead, rising from the slab to hack and slash his way through the group of friends who have gathered for Amy's surprise birthday party.Sibling directors Jen and Sylvia Soska have carved a name for themselves in the world of horror through determination, hard work, a bold approach, and a genuine love for the genre. After the success of American Mary, which helped them to gain a considerable cult following, it seemed inevitable that they would be offered higher profile work; sure enough, it wasn't long before they were signed up by Lionsgate to helm horror sequel See No Evil 2.While I couldn't blame the Soskas for accepting Lionsgate's paycheck, I did fear that the girls would be expected to rein in their demented style, nervous corporate types who would rather play it safe than risk a loss being a downside of working for a major corporation. Watching See No Evil 2, this does appear to be the case, the film definitely lacking the twisted edge of American Mary, but to their credit, the girls still manage to deliver a slick, well-paced movie that proves reasonably entertaining despite the relatively reserved approach (there's sparing splatter and no nudity, despite a more than qualified buxom blonde being amongst the victims) and the derivative nature of the script.Of course, it definitely works to the sisters' advantage that they have American Mary star Katherine Isabelle along for the ride as serial killer obsessed sexpot Tamara, the actress revelling in her her kinky character, providing the film with its most deviant scene (her molestation of the 'dead' serial killer), the sexiest moment (a tempting glimpse of derrière as she straddles Goodnight), and the goriest (she goes out in style with a juicy throat slashing). Isabelle should definitely work with the Soskas again: she seems to bring out the best in the girls (or should that be 'the worst'?).

Basically this is a boogeyman movie, as Kane is everywhere. He knows the place better than the workers. And he's at places that realistically he couldn't be before the victims. And yes, the characters are stupid. For instance, when they find out the 300lb+ killer is alive, not one of them pick up weapons to defend themselves. Wait, let me correct myself. The brother does pick up a weapon. With all of the big weapons to choose from he picks the smallest scalpel to defend himself. (Totally hilarious) Of course you know it won't work against Kane.Despite all the clichés and stupidity, I still enjoyed it. It lacks a signature kill, but I loved the soundtrack and it kept my interest. My biggest question was how did Seth stay alive till the end. He only carried a flashlight thru out the film, thinking it would keep him and his love (Daniele Harris who looks great) safe. You wanna predict how that worked out for them?

Just ignore the first one. This movie is just surprisingly good. Soska sisters kick ass. They were able to make a great sequel to not so great movie. I liked the music a lot and the characters were well-made and realistic adults not just dumb teenagers. The story is well written and not as predictable as you could imagine. When I saw the first I wished that they would never make a sequel but not anymore. We all know that Jacob Goodnight will never be as popular as Jason of Michael but in this movie Kane really nailed it. I hated the religious stuff in the first one and that's why I didn't think Jacob could be scary. And yet he was. The movie is scary and in a weird way beautiful. I have watched hundreds of horror movies but not a single one like this movie.
