Very well executed
I'll tell you why so serious
i must have seen a different film!!
There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.
This movie is nothing but a big ''B'' and a ''S'' all the way.B...s..t all the way.Bad direction and acting all the way.The reason there is 1 star is because of the message and a bit Salman's acting, say 50/50 and 9 stars has to go down for crap.Tabu and supporting characters were crap over acting everywhere.Salman should be more responsible and make good movies that would be looked up by the world, cut this crap, please,I thought we have moved on from the past. It's a really painful watch especially being a huge cinema fan,got bad headaches all the way through.Story wise,it was not bad, execution was utter terrible, music was bad. This movie is an insult to Bollywood and Indian cinema on the whole.
Jai ho is one of the best movies of 2014. It's the remake of south Indian movie Stalin. I was sure that this movie too is going to be like Salman Khan's previous nonsense movies but I was wrong. This movie is awesome. This movie is even one of my favorite movies. It is a great masala flick. It has good message. Brilliant acting by Salman Khan as well as others except Ashmit Patel. The movie has nice actions. The climax fight scene was good. The movie was a great entertainer. For it's the best Salman movie. Plot: A common man crosses path with a powerful political family.Plot: 7/10Acting: 9/10Songs: 4/10Action: 10/10
Another instance where a good, potentially great idea of a movie produces an outcome that is not so desirable.A former army officer introduces the idea of being good to random people and instead of a thanks he asks beneficiaries to be good to other people in return (aka Bolywood version of 'pay it forward)'. As said earlier, there is nothing wrong with such a concept but the issue I take is with its cinematic execution.Plenty of talk but little action. We get it, we know what the main character is all about so what is the point of so much repetition of the concept? I did however enjoyed the conflict between the altruist and the corrupt political establishment who do not favour such an idea and are prepared to do all they can to destroy him. The powerlessness of the powerful versus the power of the powerless makes for an intriguing clash. Not a total loss, it is just that it could have been much better.
There is no iota of doubt that Salman Khan prefers larger than life characters which boasts his machismo and mass appeal. Its the sole reason why audience drool and repeatedly cash in to see his persona in the multiplexes. This film needless to say packed every other element where he continues to retain his charisma , I mean we have Salman bhai playing an honest expelled army men frustrated with the corrupt administrator's way of governance , we have a good family comprising of a mother , brother in laws, sister in law , a supportive sister and a insolent cousin. Sohail Khan gives enough space to this family rejoicing and share their feelings to each other ,there are moments where we see them troubled and Salman's effort to be the caretaker of the family . The baddies are lazy police officers , Minister's dictatorial son in law and the minister himself ; Danny plays the main antagonist who after a violent spat between his son in law and Salman threatens to destroy him and his family. The story mainly focuses on influencing people to help others in the midst of all these ruckus .A systematic way of forwarding your deed to three people and so forth thus forming a chain of thousands of people helping each one. Performances; especially Salman Khan at the verge of 50 years can't be said that he "sleepwalks" or cannot act , i mean there can't be no smoke without fire. Newcomer Daisy Shah is good and she did induced humor at her part ,of the ensemble cast Mahesh Thakur deserves credit as the loudmouth cousin , rest of the cast play their part just for the sake . Music is soothing but not the level that it should have . The film is made in true to its fans style , it's entertaining , it's educative and above all it reflects the contemporary mindset of frustrated Aam aadmi thwarting the government . At the end i would say one word to Salman bhai ... Keep it coming.
