It’s an especially fun movie from a director and cast who are clearly having a good time allowing themselves to let loose.

One of the worst ways to make a cult movie is to set out to make a cult movie.

Each character in this movie — down to the smallest one — is an individual rather than a type, prone to spontaneous changes of mood and sometimes amusing outbursts of pettiness or ill humor.

Why does my teacher hate me, this movie sucks and I don't suggest it to anyone. It's basically a bad Disney channel movie that has Spanish subtitles, why would anyone want to watch it. I'd give it a 0 out of 10 if I could. I don't think anyone could've saved this movie, the writing, acting, and story was just horrible. The bad thing is that my teacher actually liked the movie, I don't know what kind of movies she watches but there not good. Never watch this movie and never talk about it. I know i may sound harsh when it comes to this movie but you can't explain the torture I went through while watching this. So that is why i gave it a 1/10(even though I want to give it a 0/10).

This Argentine film was recently shown on cable. Not having a clue as to what to expect, we decided to take a chance. Unfortunately, even with the best intentions in mind, this is a film that doesn't go anywhere. The creators probably had a young audience in mind because the thin material doesn't help what one sees on the screen.Director Tomas Yankelevic gathered some local young talent to fill the cast. No one can be singled out as particularly appealing, although, it is possible the film attracted its own public in their native land. For a film about music, even the songs aren't too appealing. The film is leaden with clichés from other, better made films about the same theme.A film to be viewed at your own risk!

I can't believe that I showed this movie to my students. They hated it, and I hate myself for showing it. I will never have those two hours of my life back. It is, as one of my students put it, "like taking Spice World, adding subtitles, and then crapping on it." The movie dragged on forever, and the plot was nonexistent. However, the Spanish is pretty easy to understand. There are much better films out there if you are looking for films to show to your Spanish students. For instance, El Mariachi is a decent flick, though cheesy and low-budget. Go there first. Leave this movie on the shelf, or your students will wonder why you hate them.

Bandana is not a good movie (sorry Bandana fans, but it really isn't). The girls can barely sing, so imagine how bad their acting is... The plot is far-fetched, and the characters are not well developed. There is one unforgettable scene... the "crying" scene (all the girls cry for different reasons... It's hilarious when it's supposed to be sad) But, aside from that, Mr. Tomas Yankelevich's direction is very good. As far as I know, he studied direction in L.A, and he used everything he learnt in "Vivir intentando". The movie is colorful, well edited, with a real professional look. Which is a lot to say when you're talking about Argentine Cinema. My hope is that maybe some day Mr Yankelevich will leave his mother's path (Cris Morena - who is a writer and Producer of several teen-oriented films and TV series) and fully develop into a professional director, with ideas of his own. Bandana-Vivir Intentando 2/10* (It may go up to 4/10 if you watch it with unprejudiced friends and a bottle of vodka)Mel.
