Nico and Dani
While his parents are away for the summer, 16-year-old Dani invites his best friend, the irrepressible Nico, to stay for the holidays. Jealously rears its head when Nico appears more interested in the local girls than in Dani. Hot summer nights and too many joints lead to experimentation which neither boy can talk about, a situation complicated by the appearance of the older and openly gay Julián, a published writer and old friend of Dani’s father.

The story-telling is good with flashbacks. The film is both funny and heartbreaking. You smile in a scene and get a soulcrushing revelation in the next.
There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.
There is definitely an excellent idea hidden in the background of the film. Unfortunately, it's difficult to find it.
Watching it is like watching the spectacle of a class clown at their best: you laugh at their jokes, instigate their defiance, and "ooooh" when they get in trouble.
This film centers around the youthful indiscretions that often occur between close friends of the same sex who haven't quite had the opportunity to have sexual relations with the opposite sex. We see the story from the point of view of both characters, Nico and Dani, who both care for each other as best friends. However, while Nico simply sees these occurrences with his friend as a way to ease his sexual frustration until the "real thing" comes along, Dani has in fact fallen in love with his best friend, and as is the case at that "awkward teen" phase, the situation gets awkward. As the film progresses, we see how both characters come to terms with their sexuality, and in effect sexual incompatibility, which drastically strains their friendship. Nico and Dani is a gay themed film, but since the teenage experience is pretty universal to human existence, I think any open-minded (and honest) adult would be able to relate to this slice of teen life set in coastal Spain.
Krampack tells the story of Nico and Dani, two 17 year old teens. Nico stays with Dani cause his parents are on holiday. Together they want to do stuff, but two girls interfer. Nico is playing the playboy but like a very unsure insecure teen of course. Dani doesn't like the coupling, you will find out when you see the movie. The two boys discover their sexuality and like every boy growing up they struggle with it. The two Spanish boys put on a great performance. I very much liked this movie and wished i saw it sooner. I think it is a must view for all teens around the globe, and i am sure everyone finds something recognizable. Try to see it! :)
Teen age sexual awakening is at the center of "Krampack". This tremendously frank account of a summer in the lives of two friends who are spending their summer vacation in the home of one of them in Spain. The film proves to be a winner because it presents a situation from the point of view of the young men, instead of from judgmental adults.Gay Cesc, the Catalan film director, made a good movie about how sex plays a key part in the lives of the two young school mates. The film is made even better by the no-nonsense approach Mr. Cesc gives the film.Fernando Ramallo is Dani and Jordi Vilches is Nico. While Nico wants it to be the summer where he loses his virginity, Dani has problems of his own as he discovers that he is attracted to men and has to struggle with his new discovery. Both these young actors are totally believable, giving excellent performances, wisely shaped by Mr. Cesc's direction. This is a refreshing look at a thorny issue, which the director handles with total frankness.
Many reviewers have remarked on the handling of the teenage experience evident here as opposed to countless moronic American movies with teenage heroes. "Nico and Dani" is an intelligent exploration of teenage sexuality and the confusion it often causes. This in itself makes it an unusual film and worthwhile seeking out.But despite the realism on display, with two excellent lead performers, the ultimate effect is curiously lacking. These characters (nor us,the viewers) seem to gain much from it all. Films that rely on understatement have the potential to be extremely powerful. That is not the case here. There are similarities with the French film "Come Undone", both being about young male sexuality emerging during the summer vacation. "Come Undone" is vastly superior in all departments and as such deeply moving. "Nico and Dani" has a mildness about it that makes it fairly forgettable despite its undoubted merits.
