When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.

Tells a fascinating and unsettling true story, and does so well, without pretending to have all the answers.

The movie's not perfect, but it sticks the landing of its message. It was engaging - thrilling at times - and I personally thought it was a great time.

Romantic Comedies are often clichéd, predictable and usually not very funny. Most of them may either leave you with either a warm, fuzzy feeling or with revulsion depending upon your personality or upon the movie. Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na surprisingly manages to stand out. Don't get me wrong, it has a lot of clichés as will be made clear to you at the very beginning of the movie by the characters themselves but there is something very refreshing about the movie that in spite of this warning, you will find yourselves drawn to plot and interested in the character's lives. The movie revolves around a pair of best friends and their group of friends and families. The premise of the movie is basically about two best friends who, even though everyone around them seems to think that they are made for each other, believe that their true love is out there. The acting by the leading pair is adequate.Genelia D'Souza is convincing in her role as fiery, spirited Aditi and Imran Khan though lacking in some emotional scenes delivers a likable performance. The supporting characters do a better job of keeping us hooked than the lead pair. Ratna Pathak and Naseeruddin Shah as Jai's parents have done a brilliant job and make a powerful impact in spite of their limited screen time. The writing is pretty solid and I guess this is what makes the movie amazing. The characters are beautifully fleshed out, yes, even the supporting ones and a few like Meghna and Amit will stay with you for a while even after the movie is over. The plot is well strung and there was not a moment when I found myself checking my watch wondering how much time is left for the movie to be over. The music in this movie is beautiful but I guess one expects nothing less from A.R. Rahman. The songs are slow and poignant when they need to be but fast when the occasion calls for it. Overall, Abbas Tyrewala has done an amazing job as a director and so has Amir Khan who is always the perfectionist! I would definitely recommend this movie irrespective of the readers disposition towards romantic comedies. Because, in my opinion, Jaane Tu Ya is more than just your run-of-the-mill Rom com. It is an actual movie that will have you laughing in splits and occasionally tearing up too if you're that sort.

Having seen many love stories all my life, I hardly find love stories totally refreshing and innovative but Jaane tu stands out to be one. It's the story of two people who happen to be friends forever with a hidden love for each other which they find out towards the ending. Imran khan is okay in his debut role but Genelia proves to be the performer of the movie. Story is narrated in a simple way in the movie but the screenplay of this movie is just awesome. No scene goes waste in the movie and climax is the real treat. Over all, Jaane tu is one movie which remains to be my all time favorite in love stories category. This movie has beautiful lyrical values clubbed with mesmerizing music by A R Rahman sir. If you ever wanna start watching any Indian teen movie, give Jaane tu the first shot.

Its no surprise that this movie carries u away to a different world of "meon" n "ratz". The producer himself is Mr perfectionist, Aamir Khan and the music by the music maestro Rehman.. And if this wasn't all then the brilliant acting done by Imraan and also by Genelia D'Souza makes this movie to deserve 10/10... i wonder if anybody can point out to any scene and say "this could have been better" I real lyf Pappu(as described in the movie as non dancer) will also not be able to stop his feet on the tunes of the movie. The youth is no doubt liking the movie and so the children and the adults. In the end as everyone knows-The movie ROCKS!!!!

The movie lives up to the name of aamir khan production's.Its a simple story with a new face. A must watch for the youngsters. It has its share of good humorous comedy. The peppy dialogs steal the show. The casting is great, everyone plays there respective character to the T.The songs are rocking and at the same time soothing to the ears. Hats off to A.R.Rahman.The story is about two people jai singh rathore (Imran) and aaditi mahant (Genelia). They are the best of friends and they cannot imagine living without each other. But they don't know that they are actually in love.The movie ends showing how they finally realizes that they are actually in love.The story never drags at any point.final rating 9/10.Must see. At least once.
