The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.

Greetings from Lithuania. So finally i managed to sit through "Katy Perry: The Prismatic World Tour" (2015) show. Saw in on Blue Ray, on good sound quality, huge screen and ... this one of the most disappointing shows i have ever saw. I kinda enjoyed Kate Perry's "Prism" album - it was good pop album. But the concert is very disappointing. First hour was even more bizarre - singer kinda lacked any conversation with her pubic, but when she did started to talk, i wish she wouldn't. Something about pica's and her garden and something like that. All jokes were flat and ... i don't know, but it felt just awkward. Maybe i'm to old for this show (30 years), but, i remember a ~ year ago i saw "Taylor Swift: Speak Now World Tour Live" (2011). The target audience is kinda same age, but it was just marvelous show. It doesn't shy with all colors possible. She had very warm conversation with the public, scenography was much more better, and we are talking about much more younger singer (at the time)! So i can't say that it's just my age that was a factor that i didn't like K.Perry's show.Overall, i hope i won't offend anyone but here is the thing - "Katy Perry: The Prismatic World Tour" is probably meant for all who are 16 years old and younger. Because the show is bizarre in it's tastelessness. Maybe that was the point, but it just didn't click with my. And almost all performances weren't live, phonogram was used - so - really? Live concert? Ridiculous show. Skip it - better go watch "Taylor Swift: Speak Now World Tour Live" - that is how it should be done.

Russell Thomas has brought to humanity an essential cinematic document which records in perpetuity the stunning talent of the most gifted musical artist of our time, Ms. Katy Perry. Thomas uses his cameras dynamically and with the precision of a scalpel to capture the concert power and spectacular stage presence of arguably the single finest vocal stylist to ever step before an audience. The camera loves Perry and the medium of film has proved to be a vital alternative outlet for the expression of her overweening gifts. Overall, the film is a powerful display of true greatness and the sheer electricity of the performances is nothing less than overwhelming. Beautiful, funny, intense, and captivating, Katy Perry has set one concert stage after another on fire as her incredible talent has exploded across the world. For the sake of history, a single exemplary night of magic has been set in celluloid for all time and generation after generation through the future will experience the genius of Ms. Katy Perry.

There are fantastic concerts, which are extremely simple and low key, and about nothing but an intimate performance (think: Adele, at the RAH), and then.... there are concerts like this one (also fantastic), that seem more like a non-stop, three-ring circus. Her music is already infectious, and often energetic, in only its audio form. With only a slight respite in the middle (for some of her more quiet, personal songs), this concert (or maybe a better description would be "event") seems to perfectly translate the energy of her music to the stage. The concert utilizes a huge stage, which extends forward, well into the audience, and Katy, along with an ensemble of fellow performers, continuously utilize all of it, bouncing, dancing, and in general keeping everyone engaged visually, as much as musically. It's easy to imagine her losing a few pounds, in the course of the show, just from the (almost) continuous workout. The thing is, it's all super engaging. The songs already suck you in for the "catchy, chorus, sing-along's" (as the audience does, throughout the whole show), and there is a continuous feast for the eyes. But as well as the sing along, it absolutely makes you want to stand up, and bounce/dance right along with her and her troop of performers. (She is so energetic at times, that it almost makes you feel guilty, and a bit lazy, if you don't get up and dance along.) And, of course, as in her past concerts, Katy undergoes something like a half dozen complete wardrobe and hair changes, all to fit in with a similar number of complete theme changes in the staging of the performance. She does everything from jump rope, to fly around the auditorium, during the course of the performance, while belting out one top ten hit, after another. This is a highly enjoyable, and highly recommended, two hours of addictive fun.For the record, the performance consists of these songs (in this order): Roar, Part of Me, Wide Awake, This Moment, Love Me, Dark Horse, E.T., Legendary Lovers, I Kissed A Girl, Hot N Cold, International Smile, (A snippet of Madonna's "Vogue", slipped in here for good measure), By The Grace Of God, The One That Got Away, Unconditionally, Walking on Air, It Takes Two, This Is How We Do, Last Friday Night, Teenage Dream, California Gurls, Birthday, Firework

I gotta say that so far in my life, "The Prismatic World Tour" is the best concert I have ever attended to. So I was excited for the movie to relive the amazing experience this tour was to me. And I wasn't disappointed at all! "The Prismatic World Tour" is a tour filled with amazigness, colors, great songs, and overall the amazing production that Katy has on this tour is present on this "movie". The way the concert is edited feels like you're actually there, and you can see how down to earth Katy is while you're singing along during the 2 hours. It's the full concert, with hits from her previous albums like "California Gurls", "I Kissed a Girl", "Teenage Dream" among others, and almost all her newest album Prism is played on the concert, from smash hits like "Roar", "Dark Horse" and other great songs from her album like "This Moment" or "Walking on Air". Overall, I really liked this movie, you'll definitely love it if you're a Katycat or if you're looking for a great concert. You'll have fun. I hope it gets released soon on DVD or Blu-Ray!
