Both knew each other from their youth in Mannheim and met again in 1942 during the Nazi regime in the Auschwitz concentration camp, on opposing sides: Sophie Stippel is imprisoned as a Jehovah's Witness, Rudolf Höss is the commandant of this death factory.

It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.
