What makes it different from others?
This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.
The acting is good, and the firecracker script has some excellent ideas.
Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.
So this is Greece's first attempt in epic fantasy genre! Was about time! We have mages, warriors, fights. Effects were awesome, costumes as well, epic music, beatiful scenery, and a real nice acting! And regarding the fact that the cost production was only 10.000 euro this deserves a + rate for sure! This movie is most recommended! More than pleasant surprise!
That the opening quotation manages to misspell Gandhi's name spells ill for THE DRAGONPHOENIX CHRONICLES, a Greek indie historical adventure film with a nonsensical title. And so it proves. This interminable effort strives to follow an action-adventure template a la CENTURION, but comes across as completely insincere thanks to a too-low budget which means that it's uniform and meandering. The photography is cheaper than ever, the actors continually wooden, the events depicted completely mundane. For a film like this to lack even one decent action scene or bit of suspense is a complete travesty.
This is surely one of the awful and most disgusting movies i have ever seen with no such one good thing to praise about, poorly directed, poor acting, poor scenes, very poor story but i'm astonished to see 6.3 rating on IMDb, seriously this is the more disgusting than movie. It doesn't even worth 0.1 rating, only the good thing in this movie is that girl he kidnapped.Sorry for being harsh, i never wrote any review here, this is first one as this awful movie made me write all this!People should not waste such amount of money in such movies, watchers or producers, both should avoid it
The fact that this movie has (currently) a 6.3 star rating and has nothing but great reviews by 'viewers' is proof that the movie industry pads their rating via phony identities.I strongly suspect this sometimes happens on a larger scale for movies with large budgets.This movie has bad acting across the board, with card board dialogue, thats just a bad combination. The costumes are a little on the phony looking side, the cinematography for this kind of movie just isn't there. The fight scenes are hollow and unoriginal. The girls are all young and pretty, so it makes me think this movie was put together by some college guys who have lots of money from their parents coming in and free time on their hands.Trust me, there were no auditions held for this movie.The very best thing about this movie is that billboard U look at when you are trying to decide to watch it or not. If you see that cool poster and then click into the movie you will be scratching your head, wondering where the movie is. This movie is not actually worth doing a review on, but viewers are being set up in this case, so I felt like someone needed to give some kind of honest warning if someone decide to peruse the reviews in IMDb.
