Dream Island Girl
A boy helps an unconscious girl by the river. The girl wakes up, but there is little conversation between the two, and the past emerges as a girl's memory. A girl with a broken heart and a lonely boy. The boy recalls the girl's thoughts and gets lost in the memory of the intersecting girl. Or is it a boy's memory? Excellent adaptation.
Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.
The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.
One of the most extraordinary films you will see this year. Take that as you want.
