But how to imagine that this man, who was trying at the beginning to get rid of an intruder, comes to a declaration of love accompanied by flowers.

The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.
It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.
This is ultimately a movie about the very bad things that can happen when we don't address our unease, when we just try to brush it off, whether that's to fit in or to preserve our self-image.
