This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful

I saw this movie as part of an episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000. The movie is absolutely a ripoff of Charlie's Angels and that being said, I was never a fan of that show, so a vastly inferior ripoff that this film was almost makes my eyes bleed! Horrible and annoying actresses as the good guys and a bunch of television show stars thrown in for 'comedy'. You know it is bad when Alan Hale does the best job and has the most dignified role of the cameos! Then there is Jack Palance, a guy whose looks and voice frightens small children, animals and quite a few adults being one upped by a thrown together super group or something. Seriously? How does that happen? One girl can swing a sword, one can drive a motorcycle, one is a cop, another is a teacher, then there is a singer, and a former junkie...why, how would any organized crime unit survive this onslaught? I really just find that there is nothing to like about this movie except maybe that you get to see the ladies in swimsuits and stuff, but it never lasts long and this gals are not in the league of other ladies from this time frame. The story opens with the girls attacking a drug compound and then the film flashes back to how their little team formed. The flashback pretty much takes up most of the film. A drug dealer has been pushing dope on kids, one of the kids is so hooked he bashes in the head of the dealer and steals his stuff! Jack Palance and the dealer gets the drugs back and administers a beating to the kid. Then we are introduced to a Las Vegas lounge singer and it turns out it was her brother that got the beat down! A school teacher convinces her and some other ladies to form a group to take down these drug kingpins because calling the police would have apparently been too difficult. Much easier to steal weapons, customize a van and formulate overly complicated plans to take out the drug dealers and considering how easily they fall, they probably could have just called the cops. This made for a pretty good episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000. I was surprised it was not better as I usually like a good Mike episode as he rarely disappoints, but it was just a pretty good one. I was saddened that they completely whiffed on an easy riff as at the end of the film the main drug lord is shot in the shoulder, falls into a pool and promptly dies. The one young girl got hit in a worse place and was fine, but this dude gets hit and just drops dead in the water. No remark at all and I was completely surprised by the absence of a riff commenting on this.So this film was bad. Really bad. I was thinking that perhaps it was a television pilot or something, but no, it was a movie apparently. It did leave an opening for a sequel, but I am going to take a wild guess and say there was not one. About the best part of the film was the ending credits as they did manage to play a catchy tune during them, but that is about it. Most of the film, as I have said, is just a flashback and it takes a while to catch up. Then it is time for the final showdown where you know our girls are going to come out on top! Though, in reality, they probably would have been gunned down in their headquarters. Mob and drug kingpins, are not quite inept enough to be taken down by seven gals with spunk...

Even in a perfect world, thanks to cable, we all would somehow still be exposed to countless bad movies just like this one. Many of these stink-bombs I've viewed and tolerated courtesy of the brilliant riffing geniuses over at Mystery Science Theater 3000. This movie,ANGEL'S REVENGE and its cast, I must say deserves more than simply being 'riffed' upon. In a perfect world, it would be more entertaining and much less painful for the audience if Mike, Dr Forrester and the bots at MST3K were to sew all seven of these awful, talentless jiggle-queen actresses together, mouth to rectum, just to avoid their trite, awfully delivered dialog. Then, in a perfect world, they would chop into tiny little bite-sized bits, slowly stewed pieced of the movie's head writer. They would mix in with it with chunks of Jack Palance, Jim Backus just for agreeing to be seen in this awful cinematic tripe. Then the entire disgusting mix would be forcibly spoon-fed to the newly created "Human Jigglepede"...using the Diector's skull as a bowl. I give this movie one star but I give the MST3K version 7 out of 10 for at least making this "Jigglepede" watchable!

Unbearably awful "liberated sexy woman" action movie obviously influenced by CHARLIE'S ANGELS has a group of young women, from all walks of life(stunt woman, Vegas singer, school teacher)deciding to take up crimefighting focusing their efforts on drug smuggling/dealing. Jack Palance must endure a lackey role as the enforcer for kingpin Peter Lawford(who seems drunk for most of his screen time), but poor Jim Backus(GILLIGAN'S ISLAND)is stuck in the role of bumbling fool, some sort of fascist running a camp who the girls embarrass. Without some eye candy(let's be honest, these gals weren't hired for their acting chops), this movie would definitely be hard to stomach. Susan Kiger and Noela Velasco provide some delicious bouncing boobs to admire, while Lieu Chinh gets to hack Lawford's goons with her samurai sword. Liza Greer, as the teenage girl who wants to be a part of the all-girl heroine team, is particularly side-splitting with her performance. Pat Buttram stops by as a car salesman with an endless supply of redneck jokes symbolizing actions by the girls as they attempt to "negotiate" a bargain for a van they later turn into their superhero vehicle. Lots of explosions help, but ANGELS' REVENGE is a flick I want to eliminate from memory as soon as possible..that is except for Kiger in a bikini. Palance not only gets beat up by a woman, he doesn't fare well against Lawford's doberman either.

Now you know where all those actors who are at the end of their ropes end up! How absolutely degrading to be "starring" in this kind of dreck and still be able to go on living! Don't these people have any pride? The makers of this film really had to dig to come up with Arthur Godfrey......probably about 6 feet down! This is the final resting place for people like Alan Hale, Pat Buttram, and Jim Backus. Remember when they gave us some joy on television and movies? And poor drugged out, drunken Peter Lawford.....it's quite a comedown from the Rat Pack and the Kennedys. At least you expect Jack Palance to do stupid things. There is probably nothing worse than the public humiliation that must go with being in this level of film. And who the hell are these copy-cat Charlie's Angels who have no talent except some pretty hot bods? It's all so amateurish and will cause you terrible pain and suffering, accompanied by nausea and fever. Stay away, run away, it's terminally bad!!!
