One of my all time favorites.
if their story seems completely bonkers, almost like a feverish work of fiction, you ain't heard nothing yet.
It's easily one of the freshest, sharpest and most enjoyable films of this year.
Story: It's very simple but honestly that is fine.
Les Ainos à Ueso, I (1897) This film from the Lumiere company isn't going to win any major awards but it's pretty fascinating to watch today. The camera is placed on what appears to be a set as some actors do a dance. Considering that this was filmed in Tokyo makes this worth watching as I'm sure this here was an actor that the Japanese people were paying to see. With the Lumiere cameras capturing it for the people of France it gave them a chance to see what other parts of the world were doing. When viewing this today it's just as nice because it captures a moment in time and allows us to see what forms of entertainment were going on during this era.
