Great feelings about a selfless young doctor on the wrong path of passion: On the eve of the First World War, Ernst is betrayed and betrayed by the two women to whom he gives his heart. A Masterpiece!
It's entirely possible that sending the audience out feeling lousy was intentional
what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.
