The staff remains the same as in the previous film, "Kurama Tengu Kakubei Shishi" (1951), and the cast is the same, including the lead actors Azuma Chiyonosuke, Hiyoshi Toshiyasu, and Chihara Shinobu.

Clever, believable, and super fun to watch. It totally has replay value.
This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.
Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.
All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.
