This live recording was a combination of footage from both September 10 and 11, 1983. Set against a Renaissance art background and outfitted in a rainbow array of costumes, Midler sings and performs her uninhibited stage antics.

Very very predictable, including the post credit scene !!!
Wonderful character development!
It's a movie as timely as it is provocative and amazingly, for much of its running time, it is weirdly funny.
A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.
