In Madrid, Azu's husband Filipe is smug and boorish, but it's his money she slips to family members constantly in need of cash and that she uses to buy gifts for her lover, Pablo. Things start to fall apart when Pablo wants to leave her and when Filipe wants to evict Azu's cousin from a butcher shop he rents. Azu hatches a plan that relies on her sister, her cousin the butcher, and his mentally-challenged delivery man. When things start to go wrong, can Azu make them right?

One of my all time favorites.
This film is so real. It treats its characters with so much care and sensitivity.
This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.
The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
One wonders who invested money in this ill conceived black comedy from Spain. As directed, and co-written by Javier Rebollo, this Spanish entry is an example what is wrong in their film industry. For a handful of good movies from that country, there are even more horrible movies, such as this one, that are painful to sit through, as is the case with "Killer Housewives".We are given an absurd situation in which a married woman caught in a bad marriage has had it. Azucena has a lover who works for her husband. Things are so bad, she wants to knock him off, so she can enjoy her erotically charged sessions with her lover, but little does she know he has other plans. A senseless killing leads to other crimes, which do not make much sense. It is clear Mr. Rebollo had no idea what he was getting into when he decided to get this project off the ground. Black comedy requires a lot of talent, something that is clearly lacking here. Watch it at your own peril.
This very dark Spanish comedy - whose title translates into English as "Killer Housewives" - stars Neus Asensi as Azucena, the unhappy spouse of smug businessman Felipe (Accion Mutante's Antonio Resines). Though Azu is getting some on the side from macho bonehead Pablo (Carlo Lozano) and hubby is a font of ready cash, she can't stomach the abuse she's taking from her man, and determines to dispose of him with the help of sister Isabel, cousin Quique, and sycophantic simpleton Lalo. Indeed, they commit the crime with such ease that Azu decides homicide could be a useful way of dealing with ALL the vaguely annoying creatures in her life, leading to a series of bloody set-pieces worthy of a Tarantino flick. If you've enjoyed other Iberian black comedies such as Ãlex de la Iglesia's Day of the Beast or Crimen Ferpecto - or even, God forbid, the all-American Kill Bill - you'll probably enjoy Marujas Asesinas.
The Chainsaw Texas Massacre is more pleasant at dinner time than this - not only for blood but for scatology. I can't think of any producer investing (?) money for it. Only Karra Elejalde (impressive here as he was in Airbag) deserves his wages for this... One of the very few times in my life I was really seriously thinking of quitting the theater...
Neus Asensi is FABULOUS as a frustrated housewife who hates her husband and slips into insanity as she plots to kill him so that she can live happily ever after with her boyfriend. Antonio Resines is odious as the husband and the rest of the cast do a great job as well. This is a comedy about murder that some audiences may not be able to stomach. However, it is very well written and produced (and very funny). If you would like too see something that combines Tarantino's and Almodovar's styles you will probably like this.
