A lot of perfectly good film show their cards early, establish a unique premise and let the audience explore a topic at a leisurely pace, without much in terms of surprise. this film is not one of those films.

...or too familiar. two friends, a villa. a fight. and a half - sister. Louis Garrel, Riccardo Scamarcio . Alba Rochwacher in a role sketch. a film who could be defined only by the name of actors. because no surprises. no revelations. just the same story from the filmography of Louis Garrel. not a bad point. but good reason for select the public in precise manner. because to define it as good/bad movie is result of profound subjectivity. so, a strange film. for obvious motifs.

"Diarchia" or "Diarchy" is an Italian French-language film from 2010 written and directed by Ferdinando Cito Filomarino, his first career effort overall and looking at the fact that his cast members are all fairly well-known, or most of them, that is pretty impressive. It's the story of two men driving down a road to a house where they engage in power games against each other quickly and these become even violent at some point. It's a tolerable rookie effort I would say, but from a general perspective I was not too impressed. I guess it all comes down to how much you like French actor Louis Garrel to determine how much you enjoy this psychological thriller movie. Rohrwacher's screen time and consequently impact here is too minimal. I personally don't really like Garrel, so my perception all in all was negative, even if I somehow managed to warm up to his co-lead Scamarcio. But the story and atmosphere as a whole weren't on a level where I would recommend checking this one out, unless you really like Garrel, or have any interest in the near future to see this one again. See something different.
