Reviews
Too much of everything
It's not great by any means, but it's a pretty good movie that didn't leave me filled with regret for investing time in it.
Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.
The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.
Brilliant movie. Unique, different and really funny. The main characters in the movie are Finn and Jacob. Both of them are a bit lost, and looking for purpose in their life's. The film begins with the two of them meeting on a rabbit killing seminar. Through out the movie there is a feeling of tragedy and sadness, but the two main characters keep up there good spirit and belief in their abilities as private investigators. This is way better than the sequel "Jydekompagniet 3". They didn't make a "Jydekompagniet 2", because number twos have a tendency of being disappointments.Of course this film is in danish. The humor in the movie is also characteristic danish humor. This is what makes this movie so great, but also the reason why it is not for everyone. If nothing else this movie is different from anything else produced these days.Unique and funny definitely worth a view, if you are interested in danish cinema after Balling and before the newer generations of Refn, Bornedal, Vinterberg and so on.
