Ten
Ten women spend the night in a supposedly haunted mansion on Spektor Island in December 1972. Crazy superstitions don't stop them from raiding the wine cellar and throwing a party, at least until the first murder.

The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.
The biggest problem with this movie is it’s a little better than you think it might be, which somehow makes it worse. As in, it takes itself a bit too seriously, which makes most of the movie feel kind of dull.
The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.
Great story, amazing characters, superb action, enthralling cinematography. Yes, this is something I am glad I spent money on.
TEN is an odd and elaborately plotted indie horror with a storyline that seems to copy the Agatha Christie films of old, such as AND THEN THERE WERE NONE. The plot sees ten female strangers randomly invited to a creepy old mansion, only to find themselves trapped inside while a pig-masked killer works their way through them. The staging isn't the worst I've seen, but the whole production has an amateur feel which works against it.The main problem with this film is the hysterical acting, which is on the level of a local amateur dramatics production. When you combine the low level acting with the pretentious dialogue it doesn't really help and makes all of the performances rather embarrassing. The story just sort of ambles along, throwing in some gratuitous nudity in an attempt to hold the attention, but by the time the non-twist of an ending occurs you really won't have been entertained.
I love horrors and small budget independent movies in this genre, because I often find decent ones with very original plots. Ten is one of such movies! It is not a standard horror flick, and with elements of thriller and drama, its story is deeper than you'd expect. It explores personalities of ten women, with completely different personalities, in a stressful situation. In a way, their characters are sometimes overacting, so acting is not superb as some reviewers would like, but only because it is not meant to be superb. The viewer should examine the subtext and themes behind the story lines to truly understand and appreciate the movie. I liked it and give it a score of 8/10!
Ten is my favorite sort of movie. It's difficult to explain completely without spoiling elements of it, but I'll give it a try.First, I think it's a movie that is not at all to be taken literally. The story and the characters and the acting aren't meant to be like they are in a standard movie. It's not a movie about figuring out a plot twist. It's also not really a satire movie, though I think a lot of people might interpret some of it that way.Ten is a sort of allegory about how we go out into the world and put on masks to be whoever we need to be at that moment. It is about how we all have a whole bunch of different faces and identities and how we can shift between them rapidly. The movie is an experimental one in many ways. A lot of people who watch it might say it's not a scary horror movie, or it's not a good mystery, or the twist was too strange, but they are all really missing the point. I think if you are an intellectual viewer who also likes classic horror, Hitchcock, noir, and mystery films, you should give the movie a chance because you might get it. And if you get it, it's a really good and unique one. If you don't, well, you should probably go back to watching run of the mill horror or something. This isn't the movie for you. I suspect you'll see a lot of split reviews between people who are watching this to see a "normal" horror movie and people who are looking for something more.
If I could give this negative stars I would, sadly there isn't that capability. Is it a 'spoiler' to say that this movie is godawful? Probably should be. It would seem that the makers of this movie thought they were being clever. They were wrong. Maybe, and I stress this, Maybe I would have felt something for the characters and enjoyed this film as a romp or even a women's affirmation if it wasn't for the terrible acting, dialogue, writing and directing, with the odd spastic movements of the camera and nonsensical inserts that didn't really hearken back to any movie I have ever seen (and I have seen A LOT of movies, several of this genre and many more of seventies schtick). And that's supposed to be the selling features of this movie?Sorry, I guess I didn't get that you can make a really bad movie and win an award...where's my smartphone, I need to call up a few buddies...I'm thinking a goof on Hollywood, should be fun!I just finished watching 'Zombeavers'. That was funny, and campy, and a heck of a good time. Ten, in comparison is none of those. Hell, it's not even smart.
