I wanted to but couldn't!
Crappy film
Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.
what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.
At least this is nice enough to reveal itself as an unwarranted attack on the audience's sight and hearing right from the start, and it doesn't take long before we realize how insulting to anyone of intelligence it is. The plot is underdeveloped(it even openly asks an immediately obvious question, though without attempting to answer it), its messages muddled and the story-telling reasonable at best. Cinematic language and structure are poor. This tries *way* too hard at being funny, and winds up not providing a single half-decent joke or gag. None of the material is original, in fact, nothing in this particularly is. How can you waste such acting talent? Why are most of the voices so unforgivably irritating and grating? What on Earth made anyone think that these songs were anything less than utterly horrible? Who is this *for*, anyway? It's not clean enough for kids, heck, I doubt they'd get it. Seriously, protection money? Sex? Drunkenness? Should children be able to understand such? And on the other hand, few adults should enjoy this, as it talks down to any and all viewers. The animation is definitely no more than just OK. There are trailers for other, and superior, family films on the DVD. I recommend this to anyone in search of a new-ish torture device. 1/10
