Wow! Such a good movie.
There are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.
The tone of this movie is interesting -- the stakes are both dramatic and high, but it's balanced with a lot of fun, tongue and cheek dialogue.
The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
We bought the Blu Ray ridiculously cheap, and just thought it would be good for a giggle. Well we were in stitches within minutes, but then the film started to go downhill. The scene where Keith was beaten up was nasty and unnecessary, and the dream sequence was just bizarre and didn't work. The film then continued to be mildly amusing and of course crude, with one visual gag in particular involving Kelly Brook having us howling. I think one of the main problems with the film was the storyline just wasn't strong enough to have any sense of believability, plus there wasn't much of the prattish but likable Keith Lemon, he wasn't likable for most of the film. If you can get to see it cheap then do so,it's not the worst film ever by a long chalk.
I don't see why everyone says this is the worst film of the whole of 2012,when I went to see it, and now when I watch it on DVD, I always enjoy watching every minute of the whole film, I am a huge fan of Keith lemon and I am always loving watching celebrity juice every single week when its on,when I first went to go and see the film, I had high hopes for it because I always watch celebrity juice and it would be hard to make the film funny as well, but they did it. Even though it has a huge cast list, it was one of my favourite films I had seen in a while, not he best of 2012, but one of my favourite films that I had seen in a while.
Popularly viewed as one of the best British films ever made, the multi- generational comedy Keith Lemon The Movie is a touchstone of cinema: one of the most widely imitated, quoted, and lampooned movies of all time. Keith Lemon and Kelly Brook star as Keith Lemon and Kelly Brook, respectively. It is the late 2000s in London and Keith is, in the parlance of organized comedy, a "godfather" or "don," the head of a Lemon family. Unfortunately not nominated for any Academy Awards and not winning for Best Picture, Best Actor (Keith Lemon), or Best Adapted Screenplay, Keith Lemon The Movie will hopefully be followed by a pair of sequels.
I don't ever write reviews, but I've made an exception for this film. It is, without a doubt, the worst film that I have ever seen in my life. I did not expect much from it from the trailers, but tried to go into it with an open mind. The entire film desperately attempts to revolve around crude humor, but takes it WAY too far and ends up being completely vile and foul. There was no originality or wit and the script was ridiculous and predictable in certain points. After about twenty minutes, I truly felt like I could not take any more of it so I attempted to have a nap next to my friend...who was already asleep from it.Thank God it was Orange Wednesday and my ticket was half price...
