When a cold hearted telecommunications executive returns to his small island town for his estranged mother's burial, he learns about the true Taiwanese tradition that mandates him to marry within 100 days so that the parent's spirit can transition peacefully. When a typhoon leaves him stranded for 3 days, he rekindles romance with his free spirited, childhood sweetheart who is engaged to marry a local villager/step brother.

Plenty to Like, Plenty to Dislike
Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.
I didn’t really have many expectations going into the movie (good or bad), but I actually really enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and the banter between them.
I wasn't sure what to expect, a comedy, a romance, a drama but oh wow did I get so much more from this film than those things. It's simply put one of the most amazing films I've seen in relation to romance. There's so much detail to every character and such a vivid and lively world it's truly awesome. What makes this film great is everything, scenery, characters, storyline, everything blends together masterfully in a very realistic way. I found myself unable to guess what might happen next as the people evolved throughout the film and grew together. Everyone learns something here, even us! I especially loved the way things wrapped up at the end, totally unexpected and beautifully done. Truly a fantastic film.
