You won't be disappointed!
It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.
It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.
Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable
...Though the story and plot has it's missing parts. The story evolves around three friends:Sid, Jai and Omi. Sid falls in love with their neighbor girl Seema and Jai and Omi tries to get their friend back by telling him lies about this girl. So will Sid trust them or will he leave Seema? That is the what this movie is about. The big minus in this movie is Ali Zafar. Divyendu Sharma and Siddharth are just amazing in their roles. I thought this was like a "Gangster Crew" who pranks people and make jokes and that is exactly what Siddharth and Divyendu Sharma does. But Ali is just playing the nice guy who is the smartest at his class. I thought it would have been the opposite, that he actually was a member of the "Gangster Crew". But it wasn't and that is what leaves you disappointed and even if this is a remake of an older movie. They could have changed a bit in the plot. So Ali is a huge minus point. But at the meantime the unexpected other two are marvelous and brilliant. They save the movie with their pranks, jokes and one-liners. Rishi Kapoor is also funny and he shows a different look in this movie. Anupam Kher leaves you with a laugh every time he comes on the screen. Tapsee Pannu is decent and does a good job in the role of Ali Zafar's girlfriend Seema but her dialogue "Dum Hai Boss" can get annoying after the first few times. Overall it's worth the watch and you will enjoy it but in the meantime you will be disappointed with Ali Zafar's character.
This one's over the top, loud and very 'David Dhawanish', if one can use this terminology. But to give the credit where it's due, it's thoroughly engaging and entertaining. With CHASHME BADDOOR, David steps into the comfort zone yet again. There's no denying that the humour he injects in this one is not aimed at the purists, but the spectator of today, who may not be as complaining purely because of the laughs and entertainment it has to offer. On the whole, CHASHME BADDOOR encompasses the spirit of the original, but has been customised to entice the present-day spectators. An entertainer with dollops of humour and wild situations thrown in, this one's a laugh-riot that should not be missed!
David Dhawan does what he should have done ages ago, ditches Govinda and takes three brilliant actors and makes Chashme Baddoor (CD). In CD, he does what he does best, makes people laugh out their bones. CD is a remake of some South movie.CD has a simple yet nice story for a comedy. The screenplay is an achievement. The dialogues are a further achievement. "If you cant change the girl, change the girl" is surely picking in the college campuses. The shaayaris are funny and the best part being that you cant predict them.Ali Zafar plays the honest guy in today's generation with brilliant technique. Siddharth plays his lovable character so naturally that he gets the maximum attention in the frame. Divyendu Sharma has made his career by playing this incredible shaayar. Actually all three roles were extremely difficult. but with David Dhawan's leadership, it seems like a cakewalk. Anupam Kher and Rishi Kapoor are enjoyable as always. Tapsee Pannu as Neha is cute and very pretty in her role. The music is very good. Ishq Moohallah and Har Ek Friend Kamina Hota Hai are the favorites. The cinematography is colorful.Chashme Baddoor is a youthful joy ride. Its a must watch and definitely one of the best comedies of all time!
Watched this last night and enjoyed throughout the whole 180 min. Loved the humor (little nasty but thats OK) and the dialogs too were superb. Nice effort for a remake shows that David Dhawan is still David Dhawan. All the three lead actors well suited to their roles. The female lead was also nice. Mr. Rishi Kapoor was a pleasure to be seen. Not to forget Anupam Kher Ji for his contribution. Like every Bollywood flick this has love, friendship and the mas-ala. A must watch for comic lovers specially with friends. Loved that flashback thing. Got more than what I expected. Hope you all like and enjoy it!!! My rating would be 8 stars.
