Excellent, Without a doubt!!
everything you have heard about this movie is true.
The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one
I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.
Very harrowing documentary , about a terrible truth -a reality , that is going on even as we speak . In our western world of ease and pleasure, freedom , security and peace in a relatively safe enjoyable society we live- in not far away young innocent girls are being forced into being slaves forced into having sex beaten and punished, if they don't comply. This documentary will shake you to the core , shows the evils of the mafia in eastern Europe and their involvement in organised crime , and the documentary shows this barbaric trade of human trafficking going on around the world . Everyone should watch this DVD it has got to be the worst thing going on in the world today, watching this will stir you into action to do something about it you'll never be the same again
Nefarious is the most gripping film I've ever seen. I've seen it several times and every time I come out of it sobbing not only because of the horrors of human trafficking but because of the love of Jesus Christ that is portrayed so beautifully through personal testimonies of trafficking victims. Its contains truths that are hard to grasp, but truths that everyone should be aware of. I like the fact that it gives a wide variety of perspectives. It shows the trafficked, traffickers, and those who aid in the restoration for both. This is a film full of exposing what most people try to hide, restoration, and hope. Please take the time to see this film. It will not be a waste of time. It will change your life. This is a MUST SEE!!
I watched this film in a local screening months ago, and could not stop telling other people about it! Without a doubt, this is the best film produced highlighting the issues of human trafficking. It shares what most people don't know....uncovering the hidden faces and stories behind this horrific reality, abroad and in our own home front of the US. Each personal story catches you up in the raw truth. The interviews with former victims and former pimps/traffickers awakened me even more to feel for those who are caught in it themselves. Some like to think prostituted women have a choice, or that they enjoy their work....But listen to the testimonies in this film and you will know otherwise. You cannot deny the many firsthand accounts. Listen to how they got into it, what they endured, what roles their families or society played to feed their abuse, how hopeless and unspeakably broken down they were....then how a few most amazingly found hope! To me, that was what made this film stand out above any other documentary that could be made on the topic. Not only that, but the cuts between each country highlighted, and acting are superb! It is amazing and beyond disturbing to see how this same injustice can take so many forms across the world!! It makes you want to take more ownership for what is closer and more affecting to us here in the US than we realize. This is an BRILLIANT piece of work, but it is more than a work, it helps give a voice to those who deserve and need a voice more than anyone and do not have one!!!
For most people, allowing others to represent themselves in a business interview would be absurd. For most people, picking a lawyer to defend or prosecute on one's behalf, accurately, is a task that's nearly futile. For most people, we don't appreciate it when others relay personal events in our lives to mutual friends out of a concern that the situation won't be portrayed in a manor that depicts the whole truth. For most people, we become irritable when someone interjects and answers a question on our behalf, when the question was intended for you to answer. For most of us, we vote on a presidential candidate who most genuinely represents our beliefs & values. It can be unnerving to allow others to speak on your behalf. As a survivor of human trafficking, I have found it nearly impossible to justly articulate or portray a picture, in it's entirety, of the horrors that I and thousands of others have endured. There is a groan from within for humanity to understand, to empathize, and to defend those rendered powerless. However sadly, most cannot wrap their minds around the nature of this trauma. Most are simply informed, but are never presented hope to believe there can be authentic renewal for victims. But Nefarious: Merchant of Souls does just that. This documentary understands, empathizes, and defends. Nefarious brings hope. Nefarious presents the necessary validation that is crucial for survivors to rebuild trust in a society that so seemingly accepts such atrocities by it's passivity. Nefarious: Merchant of Souls boldly advocates on the behalf of myself, and others in an honorable way, and is worthy to speak on behalf of survivors.
