Wonderfully offbeat film!
Pretty Good
Wow! What a bizarre film! Unfortunately the few funny moments there were were quite overshadowed by it's completely weird and random vibe throughout.
The best films of this genre always show a path and provide a takeaway for being a better person.
This film "Forest Man" is a really good wake up call for the whole world to start to make a change. This film is a Documentary that tells a story of a Man that has been planting trees for years. The good thing i found about it was that it shows how much time and care to redeem the beautiful forests we had. Even though it is lovely I found it quiet boring. I suggest if you are a teacher it is a very good learning task for students and for more of a mature audience. Not that there is adult references(which there isn't), but because it isn't a type of entertainment that would actually 'entertain' a person who would rather watch action or horror films. If you like the sound of it then watch it, because this opinion is mine...yours could be different.
I find this film extremely motivating and helped me understand that as young people we have a responsibility to follow in his example. Jadav Payeng grew his own forest because he knew the result of his home island would not end well. The dialogue, music and editing is quite slow, but is highly affective. It conveys the same level of patience and how long it took to develop a complete forest from scratch. I hope that when you watch this film you are as inspired and as moved as I was.
Forest Man is a very inspiring story. This short documentary shows Jadav Payeng's slow journey but also his consideration and care for this forest that he has been working on for 40 years. The forest is now bigger than central park that is situated in America. The title 'Forest Man' came from the former prime minister of India that gave Jadav Payeng's his special title 'The Forest Man' and his medal. The slow-paced music in this documentary conveys how long it takes to grow a forest and the immediate, caring attention that it takes to grow such a beautiful piece of nature. I would recommend you watch this film and think to yourself how lucky you really are to be surrounded by inspiring things in this world.
"Forest Man" is a true, inspiring story of one man's courage and determination to create a forest. The film celebrates the natural beauty one person was able to achieve. Set in India, the film's influential message emphasizes the importance of new life and the strong bond between Jadav Payeng and nature. The film shows us a neglected, baron wasteland that has been single handily planted to create a forest larger than NY's, Central Park. The "Forest Man" fulfils its purpose by setting a variety of scenes toward the lands resent destruction. Then moving forward to discover a possible survival of his loved land, from the threat of erosion. I was emotionally touched by the peace Payeng bought to his land, giving the audience a glimpse of his personality. Journalist, Jitu Kalita, has documented Payeng's acts of bravery influencing the next generations to respect the environment around them.
