warning this may contain subtle spoilers. I thought that Murph The Protector was unique and fitting tribute to a great man. If we had more people like Murph the world would be a better place. I have read some of the posts on the message boards. I don't know if to many of the contributors really got the message that the makers were trying to tell. Or if they actually watched the film. It wasn't about the war or even the mission. It wasn't about the USA being big brother to the world. Or a movie about the Military glorifying battle. The message I got was that it was about a man who cared about people. Murph was someone since childhood who looked out for others. Who gave what was his and himself to help those in need. While watching the documentary, I found myself thinking of how I could have benefited from knowing someone like Murph when I was a kid. He set the kind of examples and that just aren't displayed as much anymore. It even made me think that if I could go back in time how I would try to be like him. I heard of a man who helped those who were being picked on, who gave his room to his cousins who had recently suffered a terrible loss. Who led others to work as a team. An intelligent man who could have gone to law school or probably most any profession he chose besides the military and excelled at. Murph would have risen to the top in anything he chose to do. I think the creator did a wonderful job in bringing Murph the person to light. It would be great to have more films like this for people to have their kids watch. Not as a recruiting tool for the military but as a recruiting tool for making better human beings out of us all.

The movie was stirring, painful and brought home the war and the heroes who are fighting it. Our young ones need to know the true value of their freedom and the cost that many pay for us to have it. To the nay sayers, all I can do is direct your thoughts to the fact that you can freely say the things here that you do because of Murph and men and women like him. Though I find it a bit strange some are unable to correlate that simple truth...most of us can. Thank you to all who served and serve for our freedom. It filled me with pride to see the selflessness of these men, the heart and the willingness to put others first. The movie it appears did a great job of bringing the intensity, struggle and tragedy to our attention.

Excellent documentary that should be shown to our sons and daughters while raising them. It teaches character, selflessness, and doing the right thing even when others aren't looking. Murph is a hero that we can all look up to. Those recent reviews that throw this movie under the bus didn't watch the movie. I know this because this film wasn't a war movie. So those who say it is are flat out wrong and trying to defame someone that is twice the man that they are. Murph actually made a difference in this world, unlike those on here that are internet message board activists (from their mothers' basements). Realize this, the man discussed in this film documentary ran towards the fight when others choose to run away from it. Again, to say this documentary is a war movie, is baseless and is proof that it wasn't viewed by the liar.

A careful study of how protecting the world from idiots who love chaos costs all of us. Direct and to the point this movie could and should be shown in schools across the USA as a lesson in the price we ask our sons and daughters to pay for our Freedom. A true work of art. For too many the 10 plus years of The War on Terrorism has become the story and not the lives lost on September 11th. This remarkable story will take you through the emotions of that day and the price our soldiers choose to pay, right up through the ultimate price that so many have paid. The citizens of the USA have the right to see films like this because for more than 250 years young men have defended our right to it for us.
