As Good As It Gets
It's not great by any means, but it's a pretty good movie that didn't leave me filled with regret for investing time in it.
The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.
The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.
I loved this DVD, but it could of included some more matches, including Reys second match since his debut against Tajiri. It details Reys life, from where he grew up, to where he trained, to his knee injury, and all about his mask. Its also interesting to learn that Reys finisher - the 619 - was invented by Michael Cole and Tazz before his first match vs Chavo - because its his area code. Now i'm not really a WCW follower, but this DVD has some matches from that, one which most people will know - vs Eddie Guerrero. This was a mask vs title match, and was a great match, with both men pulling out all the stops. Other matches include vs Chavo guerrero, vs Chris Jericho, vs Dean Malenko, vs Jamie Noble and Tajiri. If your a Rey-Rey fan, then this is for you! 10/10
