Human Lampshade: A Holocaust Mystery
This story follows one man's quest to uncover the origins and reveal the mysteries of a possible Holocaust artifact some historians now say never existed: lampshades made of human skin. When the flood waters of Hurricane Katrina receded, they left behind a wrecked New Orleans and a strange looking lamp that an illicit dealer claimed was 'made from the skin of Jews.'

Film Perfection
A lot more amusing than I thought it would be.
It's funny watching the elements come together in this complicated scam. On one hand, the set-up isn't quite as complex as it seems, but there's an easy sense of fun in every exchange.
While it is a pity that the story wasn't told with more visual finesse, this is trivial compared to our real-world problems. It takes a good movie to put that into perspective.
Why was this made?! I would have thought this was a mockumentary. The history part in regard to what was done with human skin was intriguing and sad but the rest of it was not worth watching. Maybe if this was shot during the time he was investigating it so we would have seen his real emotions but it was recreated and therefore his reactions were that of a big joke, before we were told it was not human skin. It made me feel anger that he was laughing and making jokes about the lampshade when it was possible it was someones skin. Just skip this one, it's not worth the watch. You wind up just being irritated with the journalist researching the lampshade.
I'd watched this program in the hope of learning just a bit more about this horrible period in human history and how people could devolve to the point of making a lampshade out of human skin. Unfortunately there was little information that I'd not heard or seen on numerous documentaries. Here lies Spoilers: The final result that the lampshade that was the object of the entire show, and was dragged halfway around the world and back, and studied by multiple laboratories, wasn't even made from human skin. So the title of the show, which dragged me into watching it, was pure fantasy and the show was was a waste of my time. Very disappointing.
