Excellent, a Must See
This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.
It is neither dumb nor smart enough to be fun, and spends way too much time with its boring human characters.
By the time the dramatic fireworks start popping off, each one feels earned.
Very fun, short doc about Hank Chien, the current (as of 2/2011) world champion of Donkey Kong the arcade machine. The doc is about Hank becoming the champion in 2010. (The film does not show what has happen since then: Billy and Steve (from King of Kong) both beat Hank's score. But now Hank is champion again in 2011.) In the film Hank seems like a very happy individual, laughing all the time. I think the film is only a small window into Hank's life. I would love to see more about Hank. Hank is a plastic surgeon, so yes, there is blood, boobs and video games in the film. Fans of King of Kong really need to see this film about the great new contender and world champion of Donkey Kong.
