Just perfect...
Best movie ever!
Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.
It is encouraging that the film ends so strongly.Otherwise, it wouldn't have been a particularly memorable film
I really enjoyed the film - there are some great polo scenes and i couldn't help really wanting Santi to do well (even if he is a bit monosyllabic). In short its a simple story told well against a good soundtrack. There is a formula for the sports action hero film and although this follows the format it never leaves reality. Santi is a young boy with a few issues of his own and we see him struggling to get ahead in a fiercely competitive world. Whether or not he really does make it becomes partly irrelevant as he overcomes immense challenges to get as far as he does. Al Pacino isn't there to give a rousing team talk but the film does feature stars such as Nacho Figueras and the great Adolfo Cambiaso. Well worth watching and you don't have to be a polo fan!
